Re: New Uniforms

I was not as big a fan of the creamsicles until they changed to what they have now. Made me appreciate the old ones much more.

Re: TV Shows

Man, I am out of touch. I have been watching Cheers again. The wife realized she liked Rules of Engagement (discontinued CBS comedy). I have Prime, Netflix and some others and nothing seems to trip my trigger. Probably because I am outside more since it has been nice. May dive into some stuff in the...

I don't think too highly of ESPN. So, there is that. I don't pay attention to this type of garbage, even if the dude was kissing the Bears ass.

This is why you hope the peeps under the OC (QB coach, RB coach, WR coach) are quality people who know the offense and can carry it forward if the OC leaves for a HC job. I have that feeling with this group. Not worried about Waldron leaving at this point, the season has not even started yet.

I had an awesome mother in law, God rest her soul. She was a sweet woman who was nowhere close to being overbearing. She has been gone about 6 yrs. Truly missed.

Re: Caleb Williams & Rome Odunze sign rookie contracts

37 yrs were celebrated on June 6. Dated for three years prior to walking down the aisle. We both had great parents and must have learned a lot watching them (my 4 sibs didn't because they have all been divorced at least once). We still like spending time together and have fun. Would not ask for any ...

This is exactly why I really don't care about big time college sports anymore. I rarely if ever watch college football unless it is a MAC game during the week or an FCS game. High school sports is my saving grace right now. Kids doing it for the love of the sport.

I was more stoked in 85. After seeing what the D did in 84, I just thought the cream was rising. I was much more confident that the Bears would do BIG things in 85. I am excited about this year, but don't have that SB feeling I had then. I believe it is in the future, just not this year.

When I did these, I grilled my burgers ahead of time. Then I just crumbled them up into loose meat and added it to the sausage I had already cooked as well. Gives it a little more smoky flavor.

I have grilled burgers and then used the meat for tacos. Just gives your tacos a little different taste.

I gave up the college football game for the most a few yrs ago. I got tired of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia ruling the roost, Then NIL hit and I am just not a fan anymore. I will miss a few Bears games due to it being nice outside and I want to enjoy as much good weather as possible. My wife will watch...

Pretty unimpressive list. I lived thru the Dooley, Gibron, Pardee and Armstrong eras. Which era would you say is the most hopeless? You've got a lot more street cred than me and I can only say that the Wanny era was a desolate Dark Ages. My favorite is still Lovie. Great roster and always a QB away...

I have a hard time calling LT or Derrick Thomas LBs. 99% of the time Thomas' hand was in the dirt. LT, did he play coverage? That dude was on the LOS every damn play and he was thinking QB first and everything else second.

Things sure have changed since Platteville. No tickets were ever needed and all practices, except Saturday night ones were open to the public. Made the 3 hr drive there numerous times. Have not been since they moved it.

That's about the size of it. Got a divorce brewing, too, so I'd probably gotten into my cups while trying to figure out how to...

Re: Spring/Summer Concerts

Well, Bonnie Raitt at 74 yrs old has still got it. Amazing her voice still sounds like it did 20-30 yrs ago. She stated she has been performing for 54 yrs. It was a pretty mellow concert and I would have to say that the sound was perfect. No instrument drowned out the other, everything was in perfec...

Re: Spring/Summer Concerts

One of the best things about liking a music style that 1/10 people enjoy is that concert tickets are still, at most (unless we're talking about Metallica or something) $40. Most of the shows I go to are still $20-$30. There seem to be a lot of tours coming through, suddenly. I normally only make it...

Hell, it used to be, 35-40 yrs ago, about 4-5 bars in town would have live music. You would have your pick. Now, we are lucky to get one bar having music about every 2-3 weeks. Not sure what is happening there, I miss that. I can sit in a bar and drink for 4 hrs if there is live music. If there is n...

I am thinking that the people that put these events on are short on cash. With everything increasing in price, I think it is cramping some of these festivals. One of the bigger midwest Blues fests (Mississippi Valley Blues Fest in Davenport, IA) is not happening this year due to money. They usually ...

Going to catch Bonnie Raitt tomorrow night. Waited this concert out and the tix dropped quite a bit on seatgeek. Could have save a few more bucks if I waited until today to buy them. Wasn't sure there would be many more left so bought them yesterday. That is going to be my plan from now on. Wait unt...

NO would have got the lower seeded Cowboys, #4. Bears were a #3 seed and would have played LA.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, everyday would be like Christmas

IF Jim McMahon was so injury prone, the Bears would have won a couple of more SBs in the 80s. While not the best QB in the league, he was the best QB for the Bears at that time. He was a winner.

It's the NFL. It is what owners do these days, throw money at QBs. Bears seem to be the only smart team out there, they didn't throw huge $$ at their middling QB. They got rid of him.
