Re: Bears have fired Matt Eberflus

  The same people who have most of the inside info from Halas Hall. What others around the NFL are so shocked by is not that Flus was let go but that he was permitted to do his presser and in effect embarrass himself even more while the honchos were meeting to decide whether or not to f...

Re: Bears have fired Matt Eberflus

Yep. Harbaugh spent 6 years playing in Chicago. He spent a dozen years coaching on the West Coast. He's 'going home'. And the money, while always significant, wasn’t that big a consideration — dude is set for life no matter what was on the table. He turned DOWN 10 years @ $125M to return to Michiga...

Re: Bears Coaching Search - 2025

Hey where is John DeFilippo these days? Dude has fallen off the face of the earth. He was a darling for awhile and nothing materialized. He was the Bears QB coach a while back right? With Nagy in 2020? He was a hot commodity around that time and his flame burnt out. Head Coach of a UFL team, wow, h...

Re: Week 14 // Bears (4-8) @ 49ers (5-7)

I am not buying in yet. If this game was a home game maybe. On the road, it has been more than just an Eberflus problem. Probably will be close as the 9ers are a MASH unit at the moment.

Bears - 20
9ers - 24

Another close, one score loss.

Re: Bears have fired Matt Eberflus

I think Jaylon and DJ are taking what TB has said seriously, what’s happened in the past (week) is done, respond positively and move forward. Keep that stuff in house, it’s no-one’s business. They should be focussing on the ‘now’ and preparing purposefully for SF 49ers. The need to read up on Willi...

Re: Bears Coaching Search - 2025

Detroit is winning and Lions players are saying good things about him. Detail oriented is good and pretty specific. "Good dude", "cool guy" I don't care about that shit, that is players speak in a way to me. Wants everyone to be perfect, that can be said of a lot of asst coaches ...

Re: WSCR 670 The Score/Chicago sports talk radio: an ongoing thread

Have not been able to listen to Bernsy in years. Glad he is afternoons when I work. I catch Mully and Haugh while working out in the morning. Catch very little of Speigs and Holmes. I used to like Holmes when he was solo better than as part of a tag team. The SCORE takes me back. I have been listeni...

The little I have heard from him since his initial promotion has been good. I like his approach. He is not afraid to speak his mind and is not full of coach speak.

Re: Kevin Warren & Ryan Poles Press Conference: 12/2/24 @ 11:45am

That whole conference was worthless, nothing of substance was said at all. Said? No. But it seemed clear to me that Poles' authority has been seriously undermined by Warren and it's clear Warren will decide on the head coach but Poles will take the fall if he doesn't pan out. Poles comes across as ...

Re: Kevin Warren & Ryan Poles Press Conference: 12/2/24 @ 11:45am

A report on the SCORE this a.m. said that Warren was going to be hiring the HC. Not sure where they got that info, but can't see him taking the reins 100% away from Poles. It will be an interesting game this weekend. Bears suck on the road. 9ers are banged the hell up. Will all this shit be a motiva...

Russ is cooking! Good line there in Pittsburgh, going to make it hard for a injury induced by a sack.

It’s been this way for awhile. Not sure how anyone can respect the McC’s if they don’t allow the trigger to be pulled on this joke of a coach.

Re: Countdown to Eberflus firing/resignation

I agree. If Poles won’t do it then he has to go too. If he can’t, meaning he isn’t allowed to, then that’s a different issue altogether I still think the McCluelesskeys are pulling the punches. If they don’t want a coach fired mid season, it ain’t happening. Which would say to me that Warren is jus...

Truthfully, the Bears are as low as the Browns, the Jets, the Giants. Hell, maybe even lower. Those teams have gotten rid of trash during the season in their history.

Avoided the game til I was told the Bears had the ball with about 3 minutes left with a chance to tie or win. My dumbass had to sit and watch how the dipshit Eebz was going to blow this game. Re: Next Coaches (2024 version)

I can't see a defensive coordinator being hired here. They retain Brown, the offense kills next year, he gets poached for a HC gig somewhere else. I think you need that offensive minded coach who can assist in grooming CW. College coaches have a bad track record and I do not want being hired for the...

Re: McCaskey Failures Once Again

Could the failure to find that coach go back to the McCluelesskeys? I mean they hire the GMs, they GMs they feel they can control. Most if not all during my lifetime were first timers. The last 2, who they thought were up and comers (Poles may still be). The family lets these young, impressionable G...

I can't see the family hiring Vrabel or Kingsbury. It truly has to be an offensive guy so that eliminates Aaron Glenn as well. Marcus Freeman? Interesting.

Jared Goff has thrown for 743 yds, 6 TDs and no INTs in 3 games. Turkey Day favorites are 49-10 straight up since 2003....

Heard this stat this morning (had to look to verify it). Under Brown in the past 2 games, DJ has 14 targets and 14 receptions for 168, 12 yds per catch. Seems he and CW have a connection going.

I gave it a try. Not my kind of music. I did make all the way thru the song, "luther." I would not change the station if that song came on. I can see how/why people would like it though.

The season is probably more about CW's development now than winning. But, it is hard for me to watch the team when they suck. I have missed the majority of games this year for that reason. A buddy keeps telling me to just watch for CW. I haven't been able to. This Thursday the game will be on for my...
