Re: Nagy optimism

I guess I can jump in. Expectations of Bears fans being set low, hell yes they are! What has happened in the last 20 years for them to be anything but low? IMO, nothing. Yes, they drafted a "top" QB. Yes they drafted a "top" OL. They have a new DC who no one knows how he will wor...

Re: An Interesting Read

Opens up a lot of discussions. I can't believe they left Harlon Hill off the list. One of my favorites, underrated as hell, Doug Buffone, possibly an argument for him to be on a list like that.

Re: Rodgers & Packers having a falling out

Because I love to hear Pack fans whine and bitch, I have been listening to sportstalk radio station out of Milwaukee off and on the past few weeks. I can tell you this is getting more play nationally than locally. The past few days, in the morning, there has been little talk about it. On ESPN's Get ...

I have had a few opportunities to advance as well, but have declined. I did not necessarily want to have to learn all the ins and outs of the adult probation, adult interstate procedure, have to meet with all the other supervisors, most who I cannot stand and then put up with all the bullshit from c...

Re: The Great BFO Food, Recipe, & Eating Thread

Well, I soaked my butt in some Dr Pepper for about 4 hrs. Then did the mustard, dry rub thing. Put on at approximately 930 last night. Used some apple wood chips. Made sure to add chips on the hr for the first 3 hrs. Went to bed about 1a. Got up at 6a. Sprayed the butt down on the hr for the next 2 ...

I still have the the McDonalds cards, a whole set. I had the poster as well and a subsequent one that came out. Hell, I was 22 in January 1986. There was approximately 20 of us crammed in my buddie's dad's basement (he called it the "GHETTO"). the room we were in was no more than 10x8. Fel...

I'm also interested in why he wants him to fail. And I'm with you, unless it's the Packers or the prospect is just an outright dirtbag, I generally don't want anyone to fail. I want Lawrence to succeed because it's better for football if he does, and watching better football is good for fans. I wan...

I also have a digital electric. Pretty damn simple until the temp outside gets below 20. I have pretty much stuck to pork butts/shoulders. I have done mac n cheese, turkey, ham and tried a beef roast (didn't turn out as well as I wanted). A guy I know smokes his hamburgers. He said he is in no hurry...

Re: Bears WR Discussion

No theory to derail. Just listing the WRs the Pats had. Evident that they had the GOAT.

I guess it could set up the argument, do WRs make QBs better or does a QB make WRs better?

Will be doing a pork butt on Friday. I will probably soak it in Coke for a day or two then season it the night before. Will smoke it.

Anyone have anything different, but simple, that they do with a pork butt?

Re: Rodgers & Packers having a falling out

I had to jump off the coffee table due to the height of the ceiling. My first attempt, the ball hit the rim, I went tumbling about 6 ft and ran head first into the wall. Put a little divet in the drywall. One of the other funny (to me anyway) stories to come out of that night. One of the frat guys w...

It is not like Lawrence is begging for a diversion, this is something Meyer has brought on himself. Kind of gets Meyer off the hook a little as well (even though he was behind the signing). It has been all Tebow, Tebow, Tebow.

If A A Ron doesn't think the Pack are taking him serious, me thinks that will piss him off all the more. He has plenty of $ and can make plenty more from State Farm and whoever else wants to pay him. Speaking of "mature" adults showing up at frat parties, I did that about 4-5 years ago. We...

Re: Bears WR Discussion

Wasn't really stating an opinion, just listing the WRs the Pats had when winning Super Bowls. It was a great help they had Brady. I guess in a round about way, trying to prove, without listing, the OL had to be kickass. Pats never really had a top RB either.

Patriot WRs in 2001 - Troy Brown, David Patten, Terry Glenn, Bert Emanual, Torrance Small, Fred Coleman. No one outstanding in that bunch. 2003 - Brown, Deion Branch, Bethel Johnson, David Givens, JJ Stokes, Baxter 2004 - pretty much the same ones as above 2014 - Edelman, Tim Wright, Amendola, Thomp...

Until Rodgers actually signs with another team, I'm not going to believe that he is leaving. I can't IMAGINE that Green Bay would let him walk, for anything. I tend to agree with you. He has SO MUCH to lose. But if it happened, I'd sure be a happy guy. His net worth is $120 mill, I think he will be...
