Re: Bears have signed entire 2021 draft class

as I recall, the Bears are one of the teams to consistently accomplish this year after year ... and it is a good thing

one would think with the rookie salary cap that has been in place it shouldn't be a problem, but some teams seem to find a way to make it difficult

Re: Nagy: No circumstance that Fields starts week 1

https://twitter.com/ChiSportUpdates/status/1404869527872196615 Nagy did NOT say "there is no possible scenario that Justin Fields is the starting quarterback Week 1" ... those are simply not Nagy's words, but someone else's interpretation I guess Daniel Greenberg is trying to get some hit...

I guess I'm more on the pissed at Nagy side of things ... I was happy the Bears got him and his rookie season as a head coach was more than anyone expected ... I was excited for the years ahead and then ....... let's just say things did not go well and not go off on a rant ... opportunities were cer...

Re: Question: Why so many teams passed

I do not care one iota why other teams passed on Fields because the Bears directly benefitted ... I am still shocked Pace pulled off that deal, but am extremely happy how the draft day events turned out and if the other teams passing on puts a chip on the shoulder of Fields, that can be a wonderful ...

Re: Excited Delirium Over Fields

Just for the record I made a crap ton of valid points about the valuation of Mitch and Watson before the draft and they were ignored. If people want to believe in some sort of subconscious conspiracy that's their right. There are conspiracies about this sport that I believe in so who am I to judge ...

A smoker is always something I've admired from afar. No offense whatsoever. Just seems like a lot of work. Yet the food is supposed to be fantastic. I've had smoked fish and ribs before. The smoked trout was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. you can do high quality smoking on a standard charco...

4) Even though we're dealing with professionals, it has to be demotivating as hell to have the offense constantly shit the bed, have the weight of the world put on your shoulders, and then deal with the criticism when the slightest thing goes wrong. ah, but that has an historical basis for being .....

Re: I think this OL could be very good

one thing the drafting of Fields clearly does is remove any more excuses Nagy may have, or excuses people have made for him ... he has HIS guy to mold and develop so he simply must step up and move forward and prove he is the guy Pace hired him to be But you don't want Fields to start tho, so how c...

Re: Progressions: QB

I can't remember the last time a Bears QB hit a WR in stride on a long bomb. All the deep plays the past few years were diving, acrobatics on the WRs part. Grossman and Cutler could both do it with some regularity, but then would throw similar passes to the opposition to negate that ... and neither...

Re: I think this OL could be very good

But haven't they? The Bears had Jauron and Smith, both of who were clear defensive minded coaches. Then Emery's Trestman disaster as an offensive guru never got off the ground, but then we were back to Fox's defense wins championships. Pace drafted Trubisky in the Fox era, so Nagy had to deal with ...

I too believe the Bears O Line will be much improved over last season, and I think that improvement will be led by 2 rookie tackles earning their way into the starting 5 ... the only negative to that is they will still have a learning curve to overcome, which is why Dalton should start until the lin...

Not being a baseball fan, does this happen often? I wouldn't say often, but at least a dozen, maybe couple dozen, times a season someone has their panties in a knot over some unwritten rules violation Just seems weird to tell a player "don't try at all". as has already been noted, LaRussa...

Stupid "unwritten rule" strikes White Sox

the White Sox were cruising along kicking the crap out of the dogshit Twins to the point the Twins were putting position players on the mound ... Yermin Mercedes came to the plate in the 9th and on a 3-0 pitch, blasted one into the seats for what ended up being the Sox final run on the day ... good ...
