Bridgewater to Denver
There go another team from selecting a QB early. Maybe, just maybe one of the top 5 drops to 20!

Re: Top 7 for Pick #20
#1 should be one of the top 5 QBs and Darrisaw #2. Then swap out Toney for Bateman, I do not think Toney is wort pick 20.

Re: Bear Mocks From The Pros
Day 2 picks should be immediate contributors that develop into long term starters to me and I do not think Christensen is worth an early third. I do not think he is better than Ifedi, but I would not mind him on day 3. To me, day 3 picks are height, weight, speed guys that can contribute on special ...

Re: Chicago Bears: Davis Mills, QB, Stanford
I would be willing to bet his accuracy suffers so his coaches have tried to turn it down so he an actually get it near a WR. That could explain some of his poorer throws.

Re: Bears exercise 5th year option on LB Roquan Smith
Roquan was our best defensive player last year and is still young. He is exactly what you need at MLB in today's NFL and should be on the team for a very long time.

Re: Bears Cap Space
Isn't all of his guaranteed money paid up after the 2021 season? I think they could probably convert some of his base salary into bonuses and lower his cap hit. Nope, $6.8M of his signing bonus left for 2022 plus $5.6M of restructure money in 2022 and 2023, then $3M of restructure in 2024 and 2025 ...

Re: Chicago Bears: Davis Mills, QB, Stanford
I will officially write off Ryan Pace if we draft Mills at 20. He is on very thin ice now and that would seal his deal in my book.

Re: Bears Cap Space
Giving Robert Quinn $14M a year was the second dumbest thing Pace has ever done and is a main reason we are in cap hell now. #3 is adding void years to the end of all those contracts which leads to having about 10% of your cap ($18M) going to players no longer on the team. Pace took a team with almo...

Re: Auto Mock
Today's double draft was PFN and Fanspeak with the Draftek board. Mond, Mills, and Trask were all there at 52 on both sites so I rolled the dice and only Mills was left at 83 on both. Unless the staff really likes one of those three, waiting for 83 to see which one is left or wait until next year mi...

Re: Yogii's Final 2021 Picnic Basket
If you are drafting Robinson to play slot, I actually like it better. I still think the need for outside CB is greater and like others on the outside more. I think at this point it should be a OT in the first (Darrisaw > Jenkins > Cosmi), QB in the 2nd (Mond > Mills > Trask), then a CB in the third ...

Re: Yogii's Final 2021 Picnic Basket
I like the players (except Mills), but this looks like a draft class that is setting up 2022. The only player out of this group that MIGHT see the field is Darden, maybe Robinson if Trufant gets hurt again. I think Pace would be looking for immediate contributors with at least two out of the first t...

This just got blown up, Brown just got traded to the Chiefs. You compensation just did not match KC's offer, lol. Baltimore will get the Chiefs’ first-, third-, and fourth-round picks this year and a 2022 fifth-rounder while sending their 2021 second-round pick and a 2022 sixth-rounder to Kansas City

Re: Auto Mock
Today's double draft I used nflmockdraftdatabase and profootballnetwork. I REALLY wanted a CB at 52 but those two boards differ a lot and there were no good options on both boards. Nixon was rated way higher on both sites than any WR, CB, or QB so I went with him. DL is a fairly big need to me as it...

I stay away from the Jake and Steve boards, they are not that good. I usually go with Draftek or Josh Edwards on Fanspeak.

Re: Bears First Round Draft Choices: A Cornucopia Of Failure
I am sure the Ravens are better, like I said they are considered one of the better drafting teams. If I wanted to pick teams to make the Bears look good I could of selected the Jets, Browns, Lions, and Patriots. I would say the Bears are right about average with their hit rates compared to all 32 te...

Re: Bears First Round Draft Choices: A Cornucopia Of Failure
Injuries are bad luck unless it was a reoccurring pre-existing injury from before draft. Columbo, Tommie Harris, Gabe Carimi, and Kevin White were bad luck as they did not have their injuries previously. Chris Williams had back issues in college, so that one is on the Bears. The truly only bad picks...

I tried doing something a little different today, picking the same players using two different systems. Re: Bears First Round Draft Choices: A Cornucopia Of Failure
You could literally do this for just about every team, NFL talent evaluator is a job where you can be considered successful with a 50% hit rate. Look at the Ravens, who are considered one of the better drafting teams in the NFL. Here are their last 20 first round picks. the crosses are pro bowlers. ...

Re: How About A 'Not My Guy' Thread
Anyone outside the top 5 QBs or OTs . The Bears' big board should look like this in round 1:
Lawrence > Wilson > Fields > Jones > Lance > Sewell > Slater > Darrisaw > Jenkins > Cosmi
OK maybe if Chase, Smith, Waddle, Sutain, or Horn are there, otherwise trade back.
Lawrence > Wilson > Fields > Jones > Lance > Sewell > Slater > Darrisaw > Jenkins > Cosmi

Re: Dane Brugler’s 7-round mock draft
They really need to come out of the first two days of the draft with a CB, OT, and QB. The NFL over values mediocre QBs so you are almost forced to pick the one you like the best out of the 2nd tier guys in the 2nd round. A good chance all 3 will be on the clock at 52 and you will be luck to have 1 ...

Round 1 should be OT (Slater > Darrisaw > Jenkins >Cosmi) Round 2 should be QB (Mills > Mond > Trask) Round 3 should be CB (There are a lot of CBs with 2nd to 4th round grades, there has to be one they like; featu Melifonwu , Kelvin Joseph, Aaron Robinson, Israel Mukuamu, Trill Williams, , Shakur Br...

Re: Gardner Minshew?
It all boils down to what you think is a better long term QB for the Bears; trading for Minishew with our 2nd this year or taking Trask, Mills, Mond with the pick instead. Basically which of those 4 has the best upside at QB.
