Re: I think we Bears fans are traumatized

We have the best weapons since Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Forte already. I’d take a WR in the 3rd. JMO

Re: I think we Bears fans are traumatized

We disagree, and my logic has nothing to do with Chicago's historical incompetence on offense. Every year we see high flying teams, scoring more and more points, right up through wild card weekend. Then they separate the men from the boys, and the games are won/lost at QB and Defense. We're taking C...

Re: I think we Bears fans are traumatized

There is some specific trauma around the offense that people haven't overcome. Normal fanbases are all watching highlights from skill-position players fantasizing about Malik Nabers magically falling to their teams against all odds. Meanwhile we're at #9 and this fanbase (and this board) is like &q...

Re: Draft Prospects: WR

Question for the draftniks: I’m thinking our plan right now is CW and Turner at 1 and 9. Our next pick is at 75 I think? Who are the WRs that are possibly available in that range? I like Pearsall but only because I’m surrounded by Gator fans telling me he’s awesome. Is he even going to be there? Who...

I vaguely remember a TE with the Houston Oilers wearing 00? Before my time I think but I can kinda see it in my head for some reason.

Re: I think we Bears fans are traumatized

It is hard to not like what Poles is doing with our franchise IMO, he is building the team the way I had hoped when we announced him as our new GM. He's taking a patient, long view for long term success. He focuses on the OL as much as I hoped he would (and despite my Y1 protests - those concerns ha...

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots

Fair enough, but I think you are pretty dramatically under valuing what Justin Jones brought last year, and I think that the way to compensate since we didn't sign a FA there is by kicking Walker inside more often. Jones got a nice contract for a reason. And I'm a lot more confident in Scott than I ...

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots

I might be parsing words here but IMO, you don’t pick a guy in the top ten to be “in the rotation.” A top ten guy ought to be an impact starter. Plug & play (or close to it) on day one. I think you are reading too far into it. None of the players on the DL are full time starters...they all rota...

Re: Stefon Diggs traded to Houston

Man they wanted him out of buffalo. 2024 6th, 2025 5th plus diggs for a 2024 2nd. Bills take a $31 million dollar hit this year ($4 million more than keeping him) but clear $25 million in 2025 cap room. Texans get diggs on what is basically a series of team options out to 2027 as they can cut him f...

Re: 30 Visits

I agree TE, T, WR are all definitely or arguably luxury picks I disagree on DE, though. Walker is really only half a DE. And DE rotates more than any other position. If you figure Sweat for 67% of snaps at DE and Walker for 33%, you've still got 100% left and even drafting another for 67% more of s...

Re: New Bears numbers, so far

Oh it's true, it's damn true. This franchise has taught us to fear the inevitable failure of our QBs. If anyone could screw up Caleb it's us. But it's different this time. He's got a different swag. He's got that swag TMP has always dreamed of. He's gonna drag this franchise kicking and screaming i...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I don’t think it’s about either player moving to G, I have a hard time seeing a rookie start on our line unless we got a C high. It’s about planning a year ahead, and both Jenkins and Jones would be part of that thinking.

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

LT is such an expensive position, I think they view it similar to QB. They have an opportunity to upgrade the position and reset the rookie clock. Do they want to spend big on a B. Jones extension if he's not going to be an elite LT? I'm sure this is what they are considering, having LT/RT/QB all li...

Agreed on Turner..I see flashes where he reminds me of Suggs but then I see a red flag with his instincts Love Verse but is he special or good I don’t know about Latu…love his pass rush moves but I think once OTs get their hands on him he’s gonna be toast at the next level Nabors or Harrison for me...

Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft

I'd be happy with Williams/Turner/McMillan/Coleman just with the four picks they have. Everybody's so focused on trading down and getting more picks, but I'm of the mind that at this stage we need to start pushing quality over quantity. I very much agree with this. The only way I trade down is if t...

The problem of course is that they may very well "take it somewhere else". Years ago I was living in Frederick, MD and there was a big micro brewery there called Flying Dog. My daughter worked there for a short bit, met her husband there - we know at least 20 people that worked there and t...
