Re: 30 Visits

You can honestly spin it so any of the big 3 positions are "luxury" as well as Bowers We have Kmet and dont "need" a TE. Even though it would give him time to develop and be a long term option for Caleb. There have been some very strong 2 tight end offenses in the NFL most notab...

Re: New Bears numbers, so far

Whats Allen's number gonna be? Maybe he's still waiting to run things by Caleb first. He was 21 in college. Caleb wore 18 in high school. I sincerely hope this doesn't become a 'thing' where both Allen and Williams want #13 and draw hard lines in the sand. Williams and Allen are close, so I can't i...

Bowers, for all intents and purposes, is just a big WR. So I could sort of understand the pick. But I'm with Plank...it's a luxury. TE's usually don't take off until like their 3rd year.

Re: Bears working out OT Fuaga

An article on the man. He could very well be a Poles target but the issues are would they try him at LT, put him at RT and try Wright at LT, or slide him inside: https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/one-bears-draft-prospect-ryan-poles-might-secretly-be-coveting/ I think if he's the pick, the...

Re: Draft Prospects: WR

I like Legette in thew 3rd round if we can pick-up some extra picks. He reminds me of a Deebo Samuel type. Big thick receiver that is not going down easy. I think I'm the only one around here that doesn't like Legette. He reminds me of a faster Treylon Burks. Run, Jump, Catch... but can't really do...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

I'm pretty checked out until the draft, so apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but this comment from Flus recently was pretty interesting: “I like the numbers in terms of the talented players that can get to nine,” Poles said, via the team’s website. “We’re going to do some cool things whe...

The trade would essentially have to cripple the next three drafts for the franchise acquiring him.

If you can get a 6 game suspension for messing up your supplements, then you should get at least that for causing a 5 care pile-up, and then fleeing the scene with your abandoned car in the middle of northbound traffic on Easter weekend when tons of people are travelling.

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots

I hate to dissuade anybody, but Poles is NOT getting either Turner or Fuaga. Turner is strictly an OLB. When you move him to DE, his RAS goes from 9.22 to 8.82. There are a whole bunch of DEs better than that. He might be used as trade bait like Carter was last year, but Poles ain't taking him. I w...

What's with this hip drop tackle talk. I keep seeing it talked about. It's when a defender wraps up an offensive player on the side or from behind, generally around the waist, then drops their hips becoming dead-weight while trapping the legs of the defender underneath. This is the best video examp...

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots

I see Troy Fautanu as a Poles guy. Sweet guy that goes aggro on the field. Versatility to backup oft-injured Tev if he can't beat Braxton to start. The fact that we each have guys that are "poles guys" speaks to the opportunity for poles to get red guys who are good fits in the teens if t...

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots

Where Poles took certain players makes little difference if they're now on the roster and contributing in some what even if they're back end of the roster players who are core ST guys. Actually both Pace and Poles have had success with Day Three picks like; Herbert, Jones, Borom, Carter, Hicks, Joh...

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots

Poles interviews he talks about only having 4 picks and why he thinks it’s fine given how many they’ve had recently I firmly disagree with that argument. It's technically true the Bears have had a lot of picks over the last 2-3 drafts - but a huge proportion of them were 6th and 7th round picks, wh...

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?

Rumor of the day,: Poles values OTs quite highly, more than WRs. He knows the team needs more DL help but might not be able to pass up the chance to draft a franchise OT to give Williams more protection. The Bears put a rookie at RT last season and would do the same at LT. I've thought about this a...

Re: Vikings make Texans draft trade, targeting move into top 5?

I would imagine the Vikings moving up hinges on who the Commanders take. If they take Daniels, I think the Vikings make a push to move up for Maye. After the Mac Jones thing, the Pats may be content to roll with Brissett in a reset year and take a guy like Rattler outside of R1. They REALLY need an ...

Re: Bears Big Board at current slots

I think the team is in a good spot roster wise. The average age of the core of the team (guys that should be around for 2-5 years) is like 23 years old. That's not counting incoming draft picks. Sprinkle in a vet like Allen, some vets at safety and center...and the Bears don't necessarily need a ton...

I don't care where they build the thing. I just want the Bears to have a modern sporting complex like other successful teams.

I believe it will be in AH, but unless you are a Chicagoan, who really cares? All looks the same on my TV from down here in Dallas.

I think I could get on board with Allen only being a one year rental. I'd like the Bears to keep him for two, but I'd understand them not.
