Re: OC/DC/QB Coach Thread

Interesting to note that Reich inherited Eberflus and several of the defensive assistants when he took the job - so it isn't that unusual that give the opportunity he'd look to bring in his own DC and defensive staff.

At least this dude has a little bit of experience. He was a long time Tony Dungy assistant.

Maybe the process got executed perfectly, but the outcome is highly questionable, as usual.
To be fair, and as someone who is not thrilled with the choices, the outcome is always highly questionable - with every hire.

Re: OC/DC/QB Coach Thread

The packers WERE going to, in all likelihood, promote Getsy to oc. But, because Lafleur is like the vast majority of offensive minded yeah coaches, Getsy wasn’t going to call plays in Green Bay. Getsy is going to take the job that gives him the opportunity to build his own offense, run his own show...

Re: OC/DC/QB Coach Thread

I’m loathe to post anything from Greg Gabriel but he’s right that Rooney Rule applies for coordinator. Did they officially interview Pep? Or is that tomorrow?

https://twitter.com/PFF_Brad/status/1487145627242881025 Hmm, interesting. As much as Fields legs present a threat I really don't think I wanna see RPO as a primary component of the O. Fields should be treated as a pocket passer with an accurate deep ball . The running is secondary with just the occ...

Re: Bears sign Ryan Poles to be new General Manager

People seem to have a real misconception about speed in the NFL. Most guys aren't running 4.4's. The best receiver in the NFL and the most deserving of MVP ran a 4.62. These are the top 15 pass receivers in the NFL and their 40's: Cooper Kupp - 4.62 Davante Adams - 4.56 Tyreek Hill - 4.29 Justin Je...

Re: Bears sign Ryan Poles to be new General Manager

4.46 speead is not great for a NFL receiver, it is very average. I get it, you think Pringle will devlop into a Pro Bowl WR at 29 years old when the season starts, I don.'t. Just leave it as a difference of opinion and move on. There is nothing disengenious about it, just history in the NFL that ve...

Lovie as DC would be awesome. Wade Phillips did that in Denver - fired as Head Coach and came back years later to be DC.

Re: OC/DC/QB Coach Thread

Eberflus is a defensive minded coach. He has a defensive scheme that he absolutely wants to run. It's part of his whole coaching philosophy. He needs one of his "guys" at a defensive leadership position to help reinforce that. I'm still convinced that he'll bring Dave Borganzi with him as...

No. Champ Kelly would be leaving to be the #2 guy there. You only get the picks if they leave for GM or above.

Yes, worse is named Kevin Patullo.
