Good athlete, but given that he's really sub 5'11 234, I'm not sure what position he is.

Great signing just for that reason alone. hell yeah, he's gonna pancake some 4th string cleveland brown scrub in the preseason and we'll be calling for him to replace massie for the rest of the season. It won't take much. If Lucas had returned here, I think I would have been calling for him to repl...

Re: Rd5, P163: CB Kindle Vildor, Georgia Southern

I get all the oline comments and agree that is a big deal. I just think the mistakes he made were legacy - paying those OTs before last year and assuming they were kind of set for a while. It really tied his hands this off-season, so I understand why he did what he did (and didn't do). I think the ...

Re: Rd5, P155: EDGE Trevis Gipson, Tulsa

We have like 11 picks next year...Why are we so obsessed with not moving draft picks? Actually, with that trade, I see 5 of their own, 0 from other teams, plus 3(?) late comps, for a total of (probably) 8 picks. Slightly less than average draft capital, since the comps don't equal a R4 in value.

Ideally, why not? However, there may have been some serious bad blood and/or loss of trust (in both directions) after the way 2019 was (mis)handled, and possibly the relationship was just too damaged to be workable any more. Re: Poll: Pace's Draft Grade for 2020 Draft

The Bears had the opportunity to trade down from No. 50, but taking Johnson was a no-brainer for Pace. "We had some scenarios where we could have traded back out of that pick if we needed to," Pace said. "But when Jaylon was there, we turned the card in quickly because he's a guy we ...

Although a player has to be high enough value for this to matter (3M or so?).

I remain concerned about the RB depth chart. OK fine with the UDFA. And hopefully Nall can play and have some upside (but if he can.. isn't that a bit of an indictment of Nagy for not playing him?). Regardless... I'm wanting and expecting a vet FA signing, and not a nobody. Someone with a year or t...

Re: Poll: Pace's Draft Grade for 2020 Draft

Meh. First off, most draft grading is retarded, because how do you in the draft is entirely relative. Minus some very, very rare exceptions, everyone gets better - it's just a question of how much you improve vs your competition. That being the case, there's no way everyone can do an A or B job. Yeah, I'm not sharing that sentiment, either.

Ifedi might be a solid solution at RG (under contract for only 1 year), but I don't know how the depth can be seen as anything except terrifying.

Definitely a guy I had my eye on for day 3. I assume the plan is to add weight and bump down to 5T DE like they did with RRH, but possible they see him as a Pernell McPhee developmental type? I saw a site/article somewhere that said that. Looking at his size and pro day 40, I don't see that at all....

The 3 sites I rely on have him: 33rd WR = typically undrafted 48 = not even a consideration to be drafted 58 = probably gets a camp invite. probably. 2 secondaries have: 32 = typically undrafted 36 = but 220 overall, which is a high R7 At a quick glance, I can buy him being somewhat underrated - but...

Weak at the top. But strong in the middle.
Which I why I wonder if drafting at the top instead of midrounds was the right call.

I've been saying all along that CB2 is (excluding QB) the position I have the least confidence in, so I understand the JJ pick. Especially in a draft supposedly really good at corner. I think we absolutely needed another TE, especially after the Burton cut. But I'm neutral/lukewarm about Kmet at 43. I'd agree he's probably the best TE. There's a huge difference in draft value between 43 and R3-4 and I'm not at all sure that the difference between Kmet and TEs you could get in R3-...
