Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft
The first 8 picks worked out QB-QB-QB-QB (Giants trade up)-OT(Alt)-WR(Harrison)-OT(Fashanu)-WR(Nabers). Turner was available. The Broncos offered #12 and a 2025 1st. The Raiders offered #13 and a 2025 1st. The Rams offered #19, #52, and a 4th, which was a bit lower than desired but there's some dept...

That and a lot of money will make everything right . Wonder if the team and/or the NFL will take disciplinary actions.

Re: Is It Too Soon For Thoughts On Pick #9?
Worst case: the top 3 WRs and Alt are taken along with 4 QBs by the time the Bears pick. What then? Maybe trade to the 12 to 14 range for a team looking for the top CB, an OT, or someone wanting to roll the dice on Nix/Penix and get another 3rd? Trade down to 16 to 19 and get a 2nd? I'm in the mino...

Re: Offensive Line thoughts
Am I the only one who think Bates starts at center? I don't think Poles tried to sign him a year or two ago and then traded for him to have him be a back up. BJones, Jenkins, Bates, Davis, Wright. I like that lineup alot and it should be better than last season. I think Davis is going to have a mon...

The Bears have also researched Caleb's father, Carl, and his role in supporting his son. Dad almost never attended USC practices, once last year. He did not make nor try to influence Caleb in football matters. His role is ensuring that his son has the most opportunities to be successful. As such, h...

Re: Offensive Line thoughts
This year, there's perhaps 5 to 7 1st round OTs who will be available: Alt, Olu, Fuaga, Fatanu, Latham, Mimms, and Guyton. There are 2 IOL guys rated in the 1st round (JPP and Barton), perhaps another 1 or 2 in the 2nd round; the Bears signed one year rentals at C in free agency. The Bears have to b...

Re: Your Favorite Pink Floyd Song
For many years, I've lamented the lack of live recordings of old Floyd stuff before Meddle. Maybe somewhere there is a live recording of Atom Heart Mother performed with an orchestra; I could die a happpy man if so. But I just discovered Nick Mason's 'Live At the Roundhouse', recorded live in 2018. ...

Re: I think we Bears fans are traumatized
Boys, we have a decade of good football in front of us. Let's enjoy it and kick the shit out of the Packers for a while and get back on top of that all time head to head matchup, where we fucking belong. Please let this be true. I am so damn tired of the Packers and more so of their elitist, spoile...

And more from Friends of the Park: https://chicago.suntimes.com/fran-spielman-show/2024/04/05/bears-lakefront-stadium-friends-of-the-parks-gin-kilgore Sounds like they're gearing up for a full-blown battle over a Bears stadium on the South Lot. DJ is a pro and knows regardless of what he thought, he and CW will be teammates. Plus he'll have Allen along with Kmet, Everett, Swift, and possibly another WR in the draft. He has to like what Waldron brings to the team and the way the needle is pointing up for this team's offense.

Re: Yogi da Bear's Picnic Basket (2024)
Thought I read that the Bears would prefer a "speed" rusher to balance out Sweat's power. That would seem to point towards Turner and Latu. But I keep reading about Flus wanting a dominant 3T. Poles could have spent big on Wilkins but the team drafts another or Gervon steps up.

Not being nasty but a rookie Bears QB doesn't exactly have a really high bar to step over. Hopefully the Bears add more to the offense and CW breaks all Bears rookie QB records.

Something to read in the slow period we're in before it really heats up for the draft. The Lions were ranked highest at both RB and at OL: https://www.si.com/nfl/2024/04/04/nfl-best-teams-every-position-matt-verderame Perhaps next year we'll be talking about the Bears WR group being near or at the t...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository
Supposedly a fight has broke out in AH over the Bears' plans. Folk are screaming at the school districts asking if they're willing to forego tax revenues which, although maybe not as big as they'd desire, would still be larger than almost any other development(s) on the property and allow for signif...

Flus is really feening for his stud 3T but I'm not sure one is available this year. Braden Fiske might meet his criteria more than Murphy and Newton, He might still be available when the Bears pick at 3-75.

Bears fans have and continue to go through the 5 stages of grief: Denial - no way this team can suck year after year and look embarrassingly bad against the Pack the past 30 years; Anger - god danged team can't continue to be this bad, stupid ass owners need to sell if they're not committed to build...

Poles has divided the scouting department into Team Ol, Team WR, and Team DE. Each team will make its case for taking one of their guys at #9. So, which team are you on and who's your guy? I'm picking Team WR and making the case for Rome Odunze. I doubt Nabers and Harrison make it to #9. Odunze is b...

The Bears are scheduling a local pro day for college players who live in the Chicagoland area. It seems like something they have done before.
