Re: Bears working out OT Fuaga

I'd bet a hefty sum that Guyton goes on Day 1.

Barton is a maybe, as his arm length probably pushes him inside, but his athletic testing would suggest he's got loads of promise there.

My biggest issue with Legette is that he had negligible production in his four seasons prior to 2023 (42 catches in 43 games).

I'm not a fan.

Fast, runs good routes from slot or backfield, can catch anything, isn't afraid to lower his shoulder at times, changes direction pretty well.
He's a fun one, isn't he?

Nicely done, Yogi.

I don't think Dexter was all that much of a reach either. Higher than I would've taken him, but that's not the same thing.

And I don't think Yogi has to prove anything either way. Fuck that.

If the Chiefs call and offer Mahomes straight up, or the Chargers call and offer Herbert and the #5, I'm not hanging up the phone.

If Washington calls, and Poles just adores a second QB, I might talk for #2, #36, #40, #101, a 2025 #1 and #3, and a 2026 #1.

I hate to dissuade anybody, but Poles is NOT getting either Turner or Fuaga. Turner is strictly an OLB. When you move him to DE, his RAS goes from 9.22 to 8.82. There are a whole bunch of DEs better than that. He might be used as trade bait like Carter was last year, but Poles ain't taking him. I w...

It’s about time GMs and owners grew a pair and cut these bastards. Sorry but this stuff really annoys me and they don’t deserve the money and adulation they get if they can’t behave. If Rice was a fringe roster guy, he probably would already have been cut, no matter the outcome, being charged or no...

I think the dividends of this new (and awesome) system will be revealed by midseason once coaches begin to trot out schemes to exploit this new part of the game. Roster makeup is probably going to be shifted next season too. Less emphasis on gunners will have an impact. Yeah, this may be an underra...

Re: Bears New Stadium Nonsense Repository

Chicago also won't see a Superbowl in the new stadium if they try and develop on the lakefront. Why would that be? It seems to me if the stadium is on the lakefront, it becomes a more likely site than if out in the 'burbs. Fan get to come and stay in Chicago the whole time and don't have the commut...

Yes, this is largely because he appears to be stiff as a board and can't really bend. Good dude, tho. He's a fringe roster guy at this point, but you can do worse. EQ is a hell of a blocker. Hands are iffy, tho. Wouldn’t hate another year with him here. He's fast, blocks well, and his hands aren't that bad...but he might be the worst route runner the Bears have had in the last 10 years. In my experience, Friends of the Park doesn't much consider compromise on anything. Their stances tend to be extremely balck/white.

(Their role is to protect the city lakefront for public use, so I get it.)

Turner is definitely a top 10 pick. From a talent standpoint, Latu absolutely is. Just depends on how teams feel about his health. Turner is absolutely a top 10 pick, for a 3-4 team.
