Caldwell's decision-making in Detroit set a bar that Nagy barely beat. No thanks on Caldwell. With all the innovative minds out there, I'd be highly disappointed if they went that direction. If you want a failed coach who is actually good, he just finished as OC in NE.

Someone brought up Frazier's age, Caldwell is just a few yrs younger. No thanks on Caldwell also. Move on, find that young OC who is on the cutting edge. that still thinks the I formation has some use.

I'm actually fine with Caldwell as OC. No danger of him getting snatched up as a HC somewhere else.

The more I think about it the more it worries me that so many assholes like him. The Pats leadership and the Texans leadership are all terrible people, some of them are also stupid about football.

Personally, I think I'd let another team take on that drama.

I don't like Flores enough to make him a Belichick.

We shall see...

I don't put any thought into these "leaks." Actually the get pretty tiresome. Hell, some of these insiders are probably just throwing shit out there to get clicks.

Let me know when the peeps are hired.

Yes. Yes. This is pleasant news.
Holy Shit - We got Justin Fields!

In my former life I was known as FencikFanatic.

Oh, and if you were wondering - yes I'm real. And I'm fantastic.

If Flores can bring Caldwell with him (assuming Caldwell is healthy and won't have to quit two months into the job)...man. I'd be so happy.

I'm guessing you and me are not fantasy football players, Otis.

I saw Buddy Guy three times in Portland. The first was in the 80's or early 90's and he was off-the-wall incredible back then. Last time I saw him he was 80-ish and he still had that rare mojo to work in the crowd. He had at least a 100' long electric lead that the bands' guys managed to thread through the people so Buddy could get close to his fans.....the most interactively fun performer I've ever seen....... I went to a summer jazz festival blues night with Buddy playing right before Robert Cray, who was the closing act...Buddy brought the house down and then people started to leave -they could hear Cray's stuff on the FM in their car, I guess.

Can't imagine anyone leaving Buddy's act until after the final encore. He's my blues guitar hero.

A point Hoge and Jahns made on their podcast was, what Bears exec was on the field at any time during that practice? Adam Jahns was there for the entire time and he said the only exec who could have been impressed was Pace and since he's not here anymore, the quote was just weird. It makes it sound like McCaskey was on the sidelines watching Flores.

Campbell makes sense as someone who may have been around.

Or someone like Champ, who while not a part of the formal interview process is still a potentially valuable resource for Intel in vetting any coach candidates.??

The bottom line with Flores is that he has expecatations.

If you don’t meet those expectations then it’s your ass and he doesn’t seem to care who in the organization he has to go after.

Gee I wonder where he learned that from.

He’s perfect. That GM sucked balls and squandered I think more high picks than that dumbass Pace. Could’ve had Herbert but drafted Tua. Flores was on record as wanting Herbert. Flores was right. Kudos to him for standing up for himself.

I want my leaders to hold people accountable so that we win. Why should I break my ass if other people are allowed to loaf and get away with it? I’ve said this before but the best CEO I ever worked for was a total asshole. Screamer. Unreasonable. Unrealistic. But guess what? We damn sure made the EBITDA target every year and you didn’t dare go into that office without knowing your shit.

That’s what I want for the Bears and that’s why I love Brian Flores.

I do have a feeling that Flores is going to go to the Giants. The Bears will probably end up settling for Eberflus or Graham. Or god forbid...Frazier.
