We are going to fuck Russell Wilson's world. Pure Bears domination. 33-10

I think it's a twist of fate: Bears look like shit in the first half, rally in the 4th.

I think the Bears learn from their mistakes at GB, and take their anger out on the Seahawks.

Bears, what have you won (done) for me lately? Nothing.

It will be close. Wilson will be running for his life this game and guess what, one of those 5 second scrambles burns the Bears again.

O remains inconsistent.

Seahawks in a close one, 20-17.

Looking at it from purely a matchup standpoint, the Bears come out ahead in nearly every category. The Seahawks OL is terrible and that's not the same defense it used to be. I think the Bears defense gives the Seattle offense more than it can handle. The Bears O will be able to capitalize on good field position and come out with a solid win.

I think that if Trubisky had come out in the first quarter of the GB game, and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, or made all the wrong reads, I would be more concerned. He came out throwing the ball confidently and accurately. I think adrenaline, concern for making a mistake, and the stage got to him in the second half (play calling didn't help either).

I see the Bears offense getting jump started in this game.

This game has me pumped. I think the bears come out pissed at home and put a hurting on the hawks. These hawks aren’t the hawks of the past few years. Lots of new pieces from coaches to players. Living in Seattle, I can honestly say the bandwagon hawk fans obnoxiously no nothing about the game of football, all they known is how to make noise, “blue Friday” and how to take twelvies. I would love nothing more than Mack, Hicks and Floyd sacking Wilson multiple times for huge losses and hear the fans whine about how their O-line can’t block, even though Wilson holds the ball for 5 seconds and consistently drops back to 13 plus yards. A few interceptions would be icing on the cake.

In all seriousness, the hawks are resilient, if you leave them in the game it will come back to haunt you.

Come of Bears don’t let me down, I need this win!

I think the offense will still be a work in progress, but the defense is gonna be pissed. That their defense isn't what it used to be and the field position our D provides will help our offense do enough.

Funny you mention field position, the hawks have an outstanding punter in Dickson that will flip field position on every punt. This kid can do crazy things with the ball! Drop dropping to see him practice.

Watched him for three years at Texas - desperately wanted the Bears to use a mid round pick on him. He single-footedly won the Texas bowl game. He's going to be in the HOF and considered the greatest punter of all time when it is all said and done.

*semi-interesting side note: Texas had never seen Dickson punt, other than on a video in an email they had received from the coach at pro-kick, when they offered him a scholarship. His first practice at Texas was the first time he had ever punted with players actually coming at him - he ended up booting it about 40 yards off the side of his foot and across the street that ran parallel to the practice field.

Dickson's cousin, also a product of Pro-kick Australia, replaced Dickson as the new Texas punter.

Dickson was the legit bright spot in three years of terrible Texas football. Going to miss watching that kid punt at DKR - what an amazing talent. Prodigy.

I watched the Seahawks play Sunday afternoon against a Broncos team that has some similarities to the Bears. I believe the Bears will win this game but have a feeling it will be close. Brandon Marshall cannot be permitted to make big plays downfield, and Wilson needs to be contained.

While the legion of boom is no more, the Seahawks defense I saw looked aggressive and opportunistic. The Bears must continue to protect the football on offense to keep this game under control. The only path to victory I see for the Hawks is a combination of winning the takeaway battle and Wilson hitting some big plays downfield.

I don't know. The offense showed some flashes but once Green Bay went to zone everything went to shit. Mitch got rattled which bothers me (I get that he's young). Do we commit more to the run? Do we decide to look Allen Robinson's way more this week? What about Anthony Miller?

Defensively, Mack is an animal. Anyone focus on Hicks in the 2nd half last week? He is not healthy and that's a concern to me. Can Floyd do anything with a club on his hand? Kwiatkoski is a liability in coverage, so is Mr. Holdout finally ready to play a full game?

Same old shit and I'm with Otis, fucking prove it to me:

Bears fans since Nagy was Hired: You know I'm pretty excited about this team! They drafted well, brought in some really good vets including a HOF pass rusher. I think it's going to take some time but the future really looks bright!

Also Bears fans after one game: This is bullshit.

Bears 34> vs < 17 Seattle

Nagy doesn't let off the peddle and another week of conditioning they continue scoring through the 4th!
”Damn -- Khalil Mack had another strip sack?” Gruden asked rhetorically, shaking his head at the Oakland Raiders assistant coaches in his midst. “Are you ... kidding me?”

It's not that "this is bullshit" it's that it's the same old song and dance. Blow a 20 point lead to your bitter rivals? Offense can't adjust when a team goes from 'man' to 'zone'? An offensive "guru" that has now in back-to-back games fail to close out a team, one of which got them knocked out of the playoffs?

The whole "I like where we're at after 2,000 training camp snaps" is ringing a little more hollow with me this week than it was last week. And for good measure... we literally have no idea what this offense is going to be, if Mitch won't shit the bed again when the game is on the line, if Fangio won't adjust to a one-legged QB and playcaller that were going to the short/quick passing game, etc.

I'm just in prove it mode; they don't really get blind faith from me like they did in the past. Trust me though, you've known me long enough, I'll be the first dude running around screaming like a maniac when Mitch hits Cohen for an 80 yard TD, or when Mack and Floyd meet <insert QB here> and break him in half.

They don't get blind faith from me either. But they get time while I formulate an opinion based on a pool of data larger than 2 quarters.

Hey, that's fair, but a top 10 defense (top 5?) did shit the bed and Mitch couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when the game was on the line, which ostensibly cost us a W. Not a good look/start.

I'd be more concerned if this happened against Nathan Peterman and the Bills. I'm trying to take the loss in context.

The defense more or less should be established, though. I get that Mack was dog tired and I get that Mr. Holdout couldn't be trusted since he voluntarily skipped all of camp, but come on man! You're up 20 points, hold down the fucking fort against a one-legged (albeit STUD) QB. Just fucking sickening.

That game was a God damned tone(season) setter and literally like Kyle Fuller we let it slip out of our hands.

I don't want to sound like one of those whiny/bitchy fans...but I'm of the opinion that once Rodgers came back in, the refs were going to give the Packers every opportunity to come back. Maybe not intentionally or even consciously, but between the blatant holds and the obvious pushoff - they were not going to let the Packers stall out because of a penalty.

I don't care if it was Peterman or Rodgers. The Offense couldn't stay on the field. The defense got gassed. It happens to EVERY team. It just so happened that this time it was against a walking first ballot HOF QB.

The biggest coaching mistake of the entire game, was not running the football on 3rd & 2, on the GB 15, with 2:45 left. We get that 1st down and the game is over. We miss it, and Rodgers has to drive 85 yards in 120 seconds, and no timeouts.

maybe the Bears will play 3 full quarters against the Seahawks? so only 1 quarter won't be enough time for Seattle to then kill them?

plus, Russell Wilson (though pretty good) is not Aaron Rodgers

so, I say Bears 23 Seahawks 20 (with Seattle having 17 4th quarter points)

Because it hurts so bad. I expected an L. I didn't expect in the way it happened. 20 pt lead, top dog D, successful running game going on, a SUPPOSEDLY hurt HOF QB. At 20-0, it was a winnable game.

Back to current game, most things look like it should be a Bears victory, but strange things happen. Right now until shit gets ironed out and the teams gets its wits about who they are and what they can do, they can just as easily win games as lose them. I love the idea of Nagy, think he will be a good damn coach. I like Biscuit. I love Howard. I like the WR group. Love the D. When everyone gets on the same page, could be very, very dangerous. They are not there yet.

I think the Bears win. Need to see a legitimate game out of Trubisky.

There's no erasing the pain from Sunday night, but a win would settle things down a bit. 1-1 with a pretty favorable schedule around the corner is an okay spot to be in. Regardless of how we accumulated the loss...

That might be a benefit. If he consistently out kicks his coverage Tarik will have tons of chances and room to crack some long returns.

As for the game.

Home opener and hopefully all pissed off over that crap second half last Sunday this should be a win.

I don't see how Seattle's OL is gonna contain Mack, Hicks, RRH and Company. Smith needs to start and shadow Wilson a bit. Secondary needs to play zone and respect Wilson's arm. He can burn us deep.

On offense we need to use both Howard and Cohen more in the running game and for God's sake either tell Mitch how to check out of a bad play call and give him time to do it send in two plays he can use.

Rodgers beat Nagy at his own game with his hurry up strategy.
