this is the 1 game left on their schedule I was most anxious about ... maybe a December evening in Chicago will be less hospitable to the Rams than a Sunday afternoon
this will be a good litmus test to see how playoff ready the Bears are becoming / have become

Just saw that. It appears as though the Bears are becoming National media darlings.

The first test will be this Sunday. Honestly, I don't think it will be as close as Vegas thinks it will be. Unless Trubisky completely shits the bed, I think we are better in every phase of the game. We'll see.Boris13c wrote:this is the 1 game left on their schedule I was most anxious about ... maybe a December evening in Chicago will be less hospitable to the Rams than a Sunday afternoon

In the past this is the kind of game where I would hope for snow to help us out. I don't think that's an advantage for us anymore.
I don't like the Sunday evening games, but that's the price of success and real first world problem. I'll take it v the alternative of getting the fifth string broadcasters at noon on Fox.

I think the NFL, CBS, NBC and Fox always want the Bears to be be good. When the Bears are good, the NFL is much better. With all the Bears fans all over the states, the team is a big draw.Bears Whiskey Nut wrote:Just saw that. It appears as though the Bears are becoming National media darlings.

Agreed. Think of how many games we see in places like Arizona where there are so many Bears fans in the crowd that it begins to sound like a home game. That's indicative of a strong remote fan base and the league/networks would like to capture those eyeballs.Otis Day wrote:I think the NFL, CBS, NBC and Fox always want the Bears to be be good. LOL I hear ya my family in Chicago and I TXT during the games and it messes me up because they're all like "holy cow great play" or "damn that sucks" and I'm like what happened it's in commercial here still lol. And, the NFL has really been on these websites that stream games because usually in the late second quarter they start blocking them or slowing them down so much it's like a slideshow. Our HOA contract doesn't allow us any legal way to get the games in here.Ormazd wrote:I'm always happy when I can watch Bears games live instead of on a feed that's three plays behind the chat room.
The more the Bears win the more we get to see them without having to go to a smoke filled bar packed with Buc fans to watch the game on a small TV with no sound.
”Damn -- Khalil Mack had another strip sack?” Gruden asked rhetorically, shaking his head at the Oakland Raiders assistant coaches in his midst. “Are you ... kidding me?”
