I wanted to find a way for the Bears to keep all of their picks on the roster. The last couple of spots came down to Denmark, Fitts, and Nick Williams. This leaves the Bears kinda thin on the DL, but Lynch and Mack play in a 4 man front pretty frequently. I legit have no idea who the kicker will be.

Mitch, Cohen, and Shaheen are about the only skill position people that Nagy didn't have a hand in bringing in. Sure seems like he's sold on at least the first two of those guys.

So I'd argue that Nagy has his own guys in all his favorite spots. And he's sure got a lot of depth in those spots too. We are talking about cutting talent from the WR position that would've been starting in the previous regime.

Now it's time to see some more real mad scientist shit! And I am pumped!

8 OL: Leno, Daniels, Whitehair, Long, Massie, Sowell, Coward, Larsen
1 Wild Card: Nall, Raymond, or more likely a 9th OL

4 S: Jackson, Clinton-Dix, Bush, Houston-Carson
1 Wild Card Front Seven (6th DL, 6th OLB, or 5th ILB)
1 Wild Card DB (I'm sure they hope it is Denmark, but could be one of last year's UDFA)

So I really believe a few additions will be made prior to the final roster. Obviously a veteran interior OL seems like a certain thing. I also think a Vet DL and possibly DB. So it's hard to project but it's a fun exercise.

I think Nagy views positions a bit more nuanced then most. I could set a complete separation from certain positions. Like receivers XYZ. I believe he looks at RB to Gadget back different. Cohen Patterson davis and Whyte are those multi tools. .

So I see Nall having a good chance to make this team, wims should be a TE.

You only have 52 players. Feel free to augment the defensive line, or any place else.

I count 53 including Piniero.

I do wonder if Nagy's willingness to use defensive players in short yardage situations, or line up a Sowell at FB means they are more comfortable going with only 3 TE's and no FB on the 53 this season. Maybe that's why they didn't address TE depth with anything more than undrafted FA players beyond Burton, Shaheen, and Braunecker.

If I recall, Burton (the FB, not TE) was only active for like 6 games last season. So it's not like the Bears really had one anyway.

I hope Dax Raymond beats out Braunecker though.

Weird.
I add the numbers... I get 52. I count the names (including K -TBD) and I get 52.

For what it's worth, the Bears have 7 TE's on the roster. Reminds me of last offseason when they had like 14 corners.

Yeah, there's 52. I originally had Ted Larsen on there and took him off to add Fitts, then forgot to add Fitts.

Just don't count on my math skills, evidently. LOL
