for those who wish to see a truly f'd up organization, just look at the Redskins
they have been terrible since Snyder bought them and put his signature on them ... any actual football knowledgeable people in the front office have either quit or been fired, and their entire player acquisition process is flawed
doesn't matter who the head coach is, he will have to deal with Bruce Allen as his defacto GM, and all Allen cares about is doing what Snyder wants and has no clue of his own
we may be witnessing the next 0-16 team in the making ... that would be a perfect signature moment to represent what Snyder and his butt boy Allen have to offer

Gruden is a heckuva OC and there's no way to know if he's over matched as a HC because he was working for Snyder.
He'll find work soon enough.

Gruden was doomed from the moment he agreed to coach that team. He's one of the better playcallers around. He'll be an OC next season at a minimum.

Jay Gruden is going to have his pick of jobs.
This is not the last we heard of him.
I will bet $5 right now that the next Redskins head coach is currently the defensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers.
I do mean next hired, not interim.

I'm no Redskins apologist, but I find it easy to jump on a team with a sketchy defense, no QB and a bad run blocking O line.
If Alex Smith didn't suffer that horrible injury, who knows where this team would be.
I bet the firing came down to a stupid ultimatum to win, but also management wanting Gruden to start Haskins, who simply wasn't ready.
NFL coaches can be stupid sometimes as well though. There have been many cases of coaches not wanting to dumb down the terminology to help a dynamic player excel. In today's NFL, where the coach has a direct link to the QB, get the play in, let the QB call it in the huddle, and then tell the QB: post, out, seam, comeback, no RB. If single high zone, look safety away for post or seam. if its man, hit the comeback on right.

I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!
