I was hoping to snare Hillenmyer but billy grabbed him in the nick of time. Ayanbadejo was next on the list, so apologies comrade.wab wrote:Dammit. I was hoping to sneak Brendon Ayanbadejo in under the radar.

All is fair in love and fantasy drafts. Hillenmeyer was also on my list, so I'm officially scrambling.UOK wrote:I was hoping to snare Hillenmyer but billy grabbed him in the nick of time. I feel like there's some major omissions in the spreadsheet.
Umbali will need to select 7 players to fill out his roster, which makes sense.
I feel like I'm missing a selection for Bears Whiskey Nut somewhere.
Mikefive is also one behind.

You don’t have McCown under BWN. That’s the only omission I see.UOK wrote:I feel like there's some major omissions in the spreadsheet.

First.
Thank you so much to UOK for hosting this draft. Awesome.
Then.
Some of these names brought back a shit ton of memories. Joe Cain, Parrish, Mike Brown, Ironhead Heyward and on and on and on. Bryan Cox was one too. I remember when we signed Bryan Cox as an FA from the Dolphins. I was jacked about that move. Ugh.

Here's who needs what:
Otis Day - needs a kicker. Chris Boniol, Olindo Mare, Mirro Roder, Doug Brien are available
Umbali - Needs OT/OG/1 more offensive player, 2 safeties, a kicker, a punter, and one more defensive player
BWN - needs a safety and one more DL
Cblaz - needs OG, one offensive player, two defensive players
Everyone else is closed. We'll have the Pagan roster auction eventually.

Major tip of the hat to most everyone who participated. I'm stunned that this got done in 8 days. I predicted it would take at least 3 weeks. Great job most everyone who were either sending in proxy lists or constantly monitoring the thread and being prepared to pick. I wonder exactly how many played it like I did and were just ready to go (and didn't do enough work at work this week)?
And of course, major kudos to UOK. This draft was pretty much his life for 8 days. And wab too, who looked like he jumped in for some administrative work at the end. Thank you, gents!

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Hey everyone. I’m in nowhere WI this weekend and will have limited access. So if we’re doing an auction for players, I probably can’t participate. Unless we were willing to wait until Sunday afternoon.

A big thanks to everyone who worked hard on this. It was a much bigger project than I know I imagined and I know some of you guys (no names) spent a lot of time making this run smoothly and quickly.

As everyone has said much more eloquently than I could. Thank you to UOK for putting up with us, and organizing this. Lots of fun. I learned a lot about players I’ve never heard of.

This was the most fun we’ve had on the board in a bit. Thank to UOK for herding these cats and also to everyone who participated.

It was a blast. Kind of hard to keep up with, so many moving parts and all, but I think it was a terrific way to relive some careers of forgotten players, appreciate the long, LONG history of this team, and break one another's balls all in the same breath.wab wrote:This was the most fun we’ve had on the board in a bit. This was a blast, my wife said she wishes she could do the same but with trashy reality TV stars instead
