The TEs will be an interesting watch. Burton won't play or won't play much. Hopefully Shaheen will. But 46 Dax and 49 Bunting will be a good compare. First time seeing our incarnation of the Pagano defense.

I absolutely cannot stand Cam Newton. That whole Superman thing he does makes me want to puke. I knows its the first preseason game but if Mack , Hicks or Nichols could find it in their hearts to plant him a few times it would make my day. I'm not expecting much from either the offense or defense. Just keep everybody healthy. I'm most excited to see what Run DMC can too. If Montgomery can break off a long run or two I'll be amped. Obviously if MY GUY Anthony Miller gets a TD I'll lose my shit.
I read that Cam probably won't play much this pre season due to recovering from his shoulder surgery.
Carolina defense will give us an honest litmus test of where our offense is. (Our D is great, but after a while, a team tends to cheat a bit when they see a play run a few times in practice).
And speaking of our D, can't wait to see some total destruction. Don't like the chances of Tayler Heinicke, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier

Excited football is finally back! But i am not expecting much of anything this game. Preseason game 1 I am expecting none of the starters to play or if they do 1-2 series at most without alot being done. But it will be a great game to see some of the new players, young guys and bottom of the roster players to see who may make this team.

Last I saw, Nagy didn’t say whether or not the starters would play but they said he’d probably be conservative with their playing time similar to last preseason. Of course last year we had the 5th game, so who knows.
I’d be surprised if most of the starters played at all.

Honestly, I am looking at the same thing. I want to see Montgomery. I want to see Sowell and Dax in the offense. I also want to see the fringe WR's play. Like Wims and the Halls.
I am looking for a spirited and organized practice session ... players knowing where they should be and what they are supposed to do ... comfortable competence

Well we lived long enough to see another season ! Please just keep the players healthy..this is just a practice/scrimage. I do not expect much to be revealed on play calls or D stunts etc. Just vanilla..and that's just fine..

I expect to feel that wonderful tingle down low and the sense of worry in my belly lol....good to see its starting up again but I am glad we are going to protect our starters
