Not surprised. Highest ceiling of the UDFA TEs we had. By a mile.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

Very disappointed with Lucas making the team over Bars. He’s so very bad. So bad.

Worse yet. It's more than likely that Bars ends up on another team's 53 before the end of the year.

Remember we have right of first refusal if someone tries to sign him off our PS.

Unless that rule has changed in the recent past.

Yea I think that's steal the rules.

No team can poach a PS member without putting him on their 53 man roster
The orignal PS team can promote the player in order to keep him but they must promote the player and be active for 1 game week I believe before the player can be put back in the PS
Have a great day

He had some brain farts which were frustrating but he did make some good plays in the passing game.

I was worried Dax Raymond was going to be a goner so, in an odd sense, I'm happy to see him "stashed" on IR for this season.

I wonder of if Dax was injured the entire offseason. Everyone talked about what a steal he was as a UFA, but he looked slow and out of sorts during camp and preseason. Is there a chance we will see a completely different Raymond next year?

I don't recall reading anything that said he was injured or hurt... I think they used the concussion as a convenient way to stash him. Not sure what the long-term plan is with that kid (if any)... maybe a replacement for Buton in a couple of years?

I think the head injury cemented his status on IR, but the real reason was probably his lingering back problem that he had been playing through most of his college career.

Can the Bears please find a TE back doctor?

I’ve got news for you... out of nowhere mysterious injury... he’s already Burton’s replacement.
