It's a win but unless they figure a lot of things out on offense this win will mean little.

It's not like this is the first season with this offense. Trubisky has been very poor.southdakbearfan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 6:41 pm A win is a win.

Exactly right. We have a 14-2 defense and a 6-10 offense.Bearsmight wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 6:37 pm It's a win but unless they figure a lot of things out on offense this win will mean little.

I’ll take it and build on this going forward
Amazing victory in a game we should have won, then shouldn’t have won but did

The offense has no rhythm. They needed the time in the car reseason playing.
Nagy really fucked up and it’s going to take 3 weeks to get to where they should have been week 1.

A beautiful, ugly ass win. Lots of brain farts by both teams in the last 2 minutes. Seemed like neither team wanted to win. A little luck goes a long way.

The Mitch roughing was a blatant makeup call for Goldman’s roughing. Those are flags that simply should never be thrown. Fuller was never down by contact either, IMHO, so that was also very questionable.
Lotta Denver fans pissed that the outcome was bent by officiating, and I don’t blame them, but in the end all they had to do was stop a shaken QB who has been having an awful season from throwing downfield. They didn’t. Then they had to stop a sorta-rookie kicker from hitting from 54 on the road in one of the hardest places to win in the league. They didn’t.
A win is a win. I’ll gladly take it. The offense, however, is far too talented to be playing at such a low level, and our franchise QB and Head Coach are entirely responsible for the regression. It’s time for some confidence and swagger from a group that hasn’t shown they’re having any fun so far this year. Execute already and stop being such an indecisive bitch. That goes out to Nagy and Trubisky.
While I’m at it, fuck Mike Davis. Just because.

Mike Davis? It is early, but questioning that signing now like I did when it happened.
I just can't get on the reffing and thinking the Bears get ripped off. The Saints got robbed again today, literally robbed, like the playoff game.

Guys, this win has to be one of our best ones in over a decade.
This was "the Bears are who are we thought they were" kind of a game. That 13-10 victory over Green Bay on Thanksgiving Bart Starr day kind of win. The "double-doink" game but in reverse.
I still can't believe it. We stole the game with no seconds left.

You DO remember the Fox-era Bears that had like 10 starters out with injuries, don't you?southdakbearfan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 6:41 pm A win is a win.

I have no problem with holding veteran, proven players out for meaningless preseason games.

I understand we didn't look our best, but we like, fucking won, man. Enjoy it! I was dancing around the living room with my 3 year-old even though he had no idea what was going on. Give, Trubisky his due, he made that clutch throw when it mattered and it was exciting as hell to see Peñeiro hit a 50+ field goal with 1 second left. I'm just going to ride the high of this win for the rest of the week and not dwell on the areas we need improvement in; I did enough of that last week.
GO BEARS!!!

Absoutely right. Personal foul... Defense... 15-yards for playing football.....RustyTrubisky wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 6:50 pm both roughing the passers calls against us and the one against the broncos were all complete bullshit. so frustrating on top of everything else.
I want somebody to explain to me how the 2-point delay of game followed by offsides penalty on PAT sequence ends up with them getting the ball at the 1-yard line is any sort of fair?
Football is turning into referees and rules that don't make any sense deciding games instead of players. We won the game and I walked away in disgust instead of celebration.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".
