S Eddie Jackson
RS Cordarrelle Patterson
EDGE Khalil Mack

Alternates:

HB Tarik Cohen
DL Eddie Goldman
CB Kyle Fuller

-----

Why Jackson and Mack got Pro Bowl nods is beyond me. They've played better than their numbers for sure, but Pro Bowl worthy? I think not.

No doubt.

That's the second reason using "Pro Bowler" as a metric sucks - the people choosing are clueless and frequently relying on reputations that may be years out of date, not what the players actually did this year.

(The first reason "Pro Bowler" is stupid, of course, is that nobody with half a brain wants to participate, leading to tons of replacements who didn't actually get selected playing in the game and getting the label.)

Cohen as an alternate is another embarrassing example of voters living in the past.

On pace for 650 combined yards, with 3.2 ypc rushing and 5.8 receiving.

Whoop. De. Doo.

Yeah, I don't get that at all. Cohen's been of little consequence.

If anybody on this team deserves to go to the Pro Bowl, it's Robinson IMO.

ARob is the only one deserving of this unconsequential matter/event.

I pay no attention to anymore.

This.

A Pro Bowl award means about as much to me as when somebody wins Employee Of The Month. From my experience its someone in HR who won it from their friend or a repeat winner from a limited select group of people.

ARob should breathe a sigh of relief.

All pro teams are typically a better measure.

Correct, he's an alternate as a return specialist.

Patterson deserved it -- hell of a special teams season for that dude.

Robinson deserved it as well if only because he was our best offensive player.

Mack? Meh. Jackson? Puh-lease.

Nick Kwiatkoski anyone?
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

So the replacements will start to be named as the bigger named guys start to drop out. Such a worthless exhibition now.

Fuller didn't have the INT numbers like he did last year, but his coverage was excellent.

It was always worthless. I know I'm not the first to say this idea, but just making it an All Pro Team and an awards show spectacle would make so much more sense at this point. The game is worthless to football fans, but if you added a red carpet and a couple musical acts and a famous host, you'd probably get more eyeballs than the pro bowl gets.
