Shockers from Pace: Trubisky is still the starter, he’s not sure about the 5th year option and needs to decide by May, and waffled on competition at training camp. We all feeling better?

Don't believe a MF thing they say. Believe what they do.
No doubt. When asked what he liked about 10, he includes "accuracy and process". Accuracy is clearly inconsistent and process is Biscuit's worst trait. So yeah... We got the company line. Of course, the good news is that we have no idea what he's actually thinking or what he plans on doing. (Nor should we.) It harkened back to... "Mike Glennon is our QB." Got it, Ryan.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".
Didn't listen, had no intention to. These media driven events provide nothing of any substance so they are really just a waste of time. They are not going to be brutally honest, because they don't know how to do that.
It's about as useful to listen to the press conference as it is to read all the bullshit pieces linking every single QB to every single team without a franchise QB.
IT"S ALL COMPLETE BULLSHIT.
MT may be the guy or a guy they can't refuse, like Carr, could force a deal.
Anyone irritated by the QB competition thing? I know IRS a press conference and means nothing. But why not start the pressure. I firmly believe in competition and pressure. TWSS.

What good does it do right now, aside from driving up the price of a prospective FA or trade? Right now Pace is working on deals/trades/draft so it really wouldn't make any sense to do it now IMO.
Mitch knows he is on thin ice. If and when they bring someone in he will know it even more.
GM's don't want any other GM know what they are planning/thinking.

Different interview but Nagy was asked about Whitehair and Daniels... He said he likes Whitehair at C and Daniels at G.
If that's the case, fucking stick with it.
He likes a guy who can't shotgun snap as the C in an offense that shotgun snaps a lot?

Less frustrating to avoid.
exactly
makes one wonder why the media continues to push for and hype stuff like this ... is it simply to get attention to a team? because it certainly does not provide anything of substance about the team
same as the post game locker room interviews ... why is it so critical they are there as a player gets out of the shower to get canned answers such as "the better team didn't win today" ... "we have to play better" ... "the other guys get paid too" ... "one game at a time"
lots of useless psycho babble in the sports world

The biggest issue with Whitehair playing center is actually one of the most fundamental responsibilities of the position: snapping the ball. He isn't the most consistent with his shotgun placement and there were issues again with his snaps Sunday against the Lions.
Funny thing is it's not that hard to do, he just needs to dedicate time working at it. I'm not too worried about this and prefer that we leave Whitehair at C and Daniels at LG, the results there were clearly better.
Agreed, and I was a big proponent of Daniels at center and Whitehair at guard when Daniels was drafted. I still think that letting BOTH of them play guard is ideal, but I believe they were ranked in the top 10 at their respective positions when they switched back.
