Needed depth. Not sure I trust him and Vaughters only as the backups so hopefully theres more competition to come.

Has he even flashed? This feels a little uncreative to me. I’d like a guy with some upside even as a bottom of the roster

He's an OK depth signing, about all I expect from him .

He's rushed the passer really well against backups in preseason- looked like a rock star against scrubs. But he hasn't been able to get it done in very limited action against starters in the regular season. He's significantly bigger/more muscle than he was a few years ago, so there's some hope that he'll be able to hold up better against starting level competition.
