I don’t care what people do, but posting it to social media is asinine.

He'll be lucky if Coronavirus is the only thing he gets from being on that boat

Is he just a weird dude?

OK I was cool with him losing a team playbook iPad, and cool when he mysteriously missed time last year for "personal reasons", but now I think I'm officially over his shit. Nagy and Pace need to get this idiot in line.

He seems to be just another NFLer who wants to live fast, lose money, and make decisions that impact his image without any sense of foresight.

He's a young dude prone to making mistakes in his life. He will probably make more as well. If not for putting on social media, wouldn't bother me. Young peeps with money often times do stupid shit.

One of numerous reports.

The guy is entitled to a personal life. But the optics and timing of this are soooo bad................ :frustrated:
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

Roquan can do what he wants without fear or criticism from me as long as he stays healthy and plays good football. If ‘the product’ has a hard time staying in the field or he plays bad, then he’s fair game to be criticized.
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

Perhaps we now know why his agent fought so hard to prevent any voiding of the guarantees in his contract for 'non-football' related reasons.

If he wants his 5th year option picked up eventually and that huge 2nd contract, from anyone, he has a lot of growing up to do.

And yes I get the whole "he gets to have a personal life", but when you get paid millions to play a game there are consequences to these types of things.

I rarely care about this sorta stuff, but honestly based on everything we heard about his character? Well, I just expected more I guess. Sound like an old man yelling at a cloud, but that’s the best way I can describe it. Just...disappointed.

I have zero issues with a young millionaire partying a little....

Let’s not use the covid pandemic as a reason to be upset here...The ones who are upset would be upset even if this wasn’t going on.

This is actually a strong example of why there won't be a season. Folks are focusing on the player and the porn star... but step back and look at the scene. Given the chance, people are going to do what they want - regardless of the consequences to themselves or anybody else. I kinda like the porn star aspect of it. It's excellent allegory.

Not the best look. But how do we know this didn't take place in March or before all the shelter in place and travel restrictions? It's clearly a tropical location. There are other people there. The resort seems open...

Without context it seems weird to be jumping all over the dude.

Again... not a great look.

I see fairly tepid, reasonable responses here to it. Are others in the twittersphere jumping all over him? I hate twitter.

He lives in Georgia, where they relaxed the rules recently, so probably happened at a beach there somewhere. Unlikely that it happened pre-Corona, but maybe....

I'm not sticking up for the guy at all. I do know a lot of states opened back up over the weekend. Parks and beaches opened down here on Saturday.

Still, if it was just a couple days ago, he could've eased into it a little haha.

Nothing to like here - From the Shea McClellin "natural" body type to the another brick in the wall story of a guy who isn't / doesn't want to live up to his potential

I normally am very much on the other side of this - Give me the character risk guy who has "Football" character

The problem is - this seems to point to just an overall lack of character/smarts - If he was coming off a Pro Bowl year where he played every game AND they had entrusted him to make the Defensive Calls on the field?

I'd be defending him to the hilt

He's not though

Personally, I don't really care at all. It's his offseason. Who gives a fuck?! But I must confess when I heard about his "personal problems" last season, I couldn't help but wonder if he picked up some STD, like maybe herpes. That would certainly be a "personal issue" that could cause anybody to miss a couple of games.

Just wondering...?

I don't care about partying in general, but it does make me wonder about his mental state, and how much (or not) he is thinking about protecting the team both from caring about PR but also his own health, if he is out partying right now in a pandemic.

For me, if this had been a single incident then it would be fine. But it's not. First the contract dispute, then the ipad, then missing the games for personal reasons, now this? Anyone of those I'd brush off but all together? it seems like a pattern of a selfish me first person. My guts telling me this is not the last incident with Roquan.

You can be a selfish me-first person and still be a great player. Again, I'm not gonna judge the character of the guy. I'm not a fan of the team to make friends with them or agree with their politics or their choices. It's that this got put onto social media that pisses me off.

These guys aren't ignorant. Rookie symposiums warn them at first and management reiterates again and again from the moment their careers start that the world is watching you and there are more cameras now than ever before.

Be smart.

It will cause you to pause when it's time for a second contract, despite what the on-field play looks like. Do you want to give this guy $30 or $40MM guaranteed when you don't know what the risks are with him?

I mean, in general I don't give a shit what people do... but in times like these, not only is this idiot NOT social distancing, he's ignoring it while partying on a boat with a Porn Star. Just a poor, stupid look.

The whole social distancing thing.

He is a young athlete, he is not susceptible to the disease having a fatal effect, or even a hospitalization. I dont know his personal situation but I dont see anything wrong
Now if Nana or Papa are hanging around on the party boat maybe I'd find more issue.

DISCLAIMER the above is not ment as political. I know my more libertarian views are opposite of most the board. I get the spread distance etc arguements. Just trying to put the situation in a different perspective.

Now the behavior. Generally dont care. But there is a bit of worry with dude. People above have mentioned past things, and there seems to have a trend.

It is still the first week of May, team facilities are closed down and it is still a few months before he needs to be in football shape. Why is this an issue? The kid is a twentysomething with a lot of money, as long as he is not doing this on the Saturday before games it does not matter. Look at all the stupid party shit Gronk was pictured doing, it did not affect his play on the field.

That looks to be the gulf coast based on water color. The waterways around here were packed this weekend since everything was just re-opened. As long as he was not driving the boat, there seems to be nothing to gripe about.

Okay. So you're 23 years old, you've got millions of dollars in your pocket. Got nothing to do. You have a famous porn start asking to go out on a boat with her and a bunch of her girlfriends. And you don't go? Really? What? Were you all Nazi Choirboy Hall Monitors when you were growing up?

"Oh no. Oh no. Roquan wasn't practicing 'social distancing...." Hang him!"

Sheesh.
