...consider him as a vet back-up to spell Monty?

Probably wanting too much and not interested in Chicago. I'm bored and just thought I'd mention it so all youss can shoot it down.

This is still one of my favorite runs:

Breaks 6 tackles, stiff arms a guy five yards off him onto the ground, cuts back against the grain and dives into the endzone grabbing his junk. Oh, and this iced a playoff game to boot.

Bad-ass.

Might be one of my top 5 highlights in all of football.

Where they went on to be soundly defeated by Cutty, Greg Olsen and the Beloved Bears.

Eww. What? That guy was done in 2015. Much less when he came back last year and was a literal corpse on a football field.

He had 30 carries for 67 yards in those three games he came back for last year. In the playoffs 18 for 33 yards. 1.8 YPC.

Anything is better than that.

I will say, in his prime he was the closest thing to watch that reminded me of Payton.

I thought it was cool that he came in to be a battering ram on a couple of those TDs at the end. A good finish for him.

But he doesn't have any more all purpose RB miles on him. There should be an available FA or two that might jump at the chance to join the Bears, for Nall and Cohen-based reasons.

I am starting to believe the rumor that Cordarelle Patterson will be carried as our 3rd RB. It makes some sense. He takes a good chunk of his snaps there already and has proven (with NE) he's more than capable of filling in during a pinch. Then, it allows you to carry a WR (or a player anywhere, I suppose) that you otherwise would not be able to.

I like that, Johnny. True words.

I wouldn't mind CPatt as a regular RB. He's a real threat. He's not shifty or a guy who is going to get skinny . But he's powerful and has a scary burst if there is any daylight at all. I would't compare him to Henry much. But there are some similar traits.
