Like 5 teams are in need of DT and/or OL. DT in particular. Why hasn't Snacks or any other viable run stuffer signed anywhere?

My guess would be that no one wants to pay a signing bonus, because they're fearing that it will just be money flushed down the toilet.

Yeah, my guess would be that the owners are starting to suspect that the season isn't going to happen...so little point in throwing money away. Still, risky strategy if they're wrong. Isn't the whole of the Brown's OL MIA?

Just the uncertainty in the cap for next year probably has put the dampers on it.

Yea, but Nichols was already slated to start at RDE. So we just create a new hole. RRH is not a regular starter IMO. This is why I've been mildly interested in Clowney as he's been more of a dominant run player than pass rusher and has the size to handle a 3/4 DE spot. But apparently his asking price hasn't come down so screw that...

They Bears do have Urban, who has been a starter in this league. Also keep in mind, the Bears will play a lot of 4 man fronts with Quinn presumably at DE.
But I do agree...they could use another DT. Hicks, Nichols, Jenkins, and Anderson aren't enough. The UDFA dudes are more DE types than DT too.

I keep forgetting about Urban. I prefer him to Jenkins, who is a fat turd on skates out there. I really think our personnel is best suited for 4/3 right now. Our DL could be Quinn, Nichols, Hicks, Mack. That'd be bad ass.

Speaking of Quinn, his play has been as DE in a 4-3 due to his great first step and some argue he isn't at his best playing standing up as OLB in a 3-4 system.
So Yogi what's your thoughts about him playing a DE in a 3-4 system? I know we had that debate a while back (was it at the other place???? COVID has destroyed some aspects of time line thinking for me).

If you're interested Ark, I think this post probably sums up my position the best. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14174&p=237210&hilit=Quinn#p237210
