My takeaway is players that have the talent to play tackle can play tackle, regardless of magical arm length.

I searched a bunch of OT arm lengths. As long as it's not TRex arms it isnt statistically significant. Based on my non scientific approach of just searching starters. I actually thought wingspan would have a better correlation but it doesn't appear so.

I'd ask successful defensive ends if it makes a difference. Like, do you guys look at this stat before games? Do you have moves that you use on 33" arms that you'd never try on a guy with 35" arms?

Let’s ask Dwight Freeney.

I dont know if the DE changes his philosophy. But like anything in life physical attributes change what you can do. Tyson couldn't keep guys away with his long jab because his stature. Guys with long arms generally cam use a darce choke better in bjj. It's more of using the tools you got.

Teven actually has average arms and shoulder with. If not below average for the position. So to win leverage and strength will have to be paramount.

They have the cap room. It's a good move by them.

The Jets have the weirdest offensive line.

I'm fine with this. Save our money. I think we'll find players with real good potential on the cheap with the final cutdowns. Might as well wait for then.
