So I've been out of the country on vacation, so if this has been mentioned, my bad.

Jamie Newman was a guy some like a bit going into the draft. He went undrafted and signed with Philly (??) but has been cut and is back out there.

Do we bring him in with the understanding that the he is QB4 (may QB3 if Foles is traded) and will be looking to stash him on the PS at best.

If he shows some growth he could compete for QB2 next year when Dalton's contract is up and Foles will have been traded/cut by then. Heck maybe Foles makes it long enough to batter him for QB2 next year.

Pace is always churning the bottom of the roster and talking about how the QB is the most important spot. Seems like a low risk move that could turn out something. Yeah I know he went undrafted and then got cut, but he didn't play last year and I think QBs are the ones who would suffer the most with time off. So maybe being on the practice squad will help him a great deal.

Likely it's a move that does very little but I think it's a good move since I don't see any downside to trying to get him onto the PS.

I doubt it happens, but I'd love this dude on the PS. He seems like one of those prospects that was in the wrong draft at the wrong time and could flourish if he gets a chance. I mean people were talking about him as a potential top 10 pick when he was at Wake Forest.

Sadly, too many QB's at Halas Hall. Can he play CB?

I'd like him on the PS as well, but I have an odd feeling we like Sloter for the Practice Squad.

Gotta wonder though if the Eagles cut him so soon.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. This guy left Wake, committed to Georgia, then sat out. Then....entered the draft and went undrafted despite the clear talent. Tells me we have an issue with common sense/emotional intelligence...hard pass

Kid got some really bad advice from an agent, too raw and should have stayed in college.

I agree that there could be something out there, but if it's him or some stiff that has basically no chance of making the roster or PS, I'd just assume bring him in and let them see first hand if he has some issue that would warrant him not having a spot.

He wasn't very good during Senior Bowl week

I think he could be Logan Thomas
