The best possible outcome at corner is that Vildor and Shelley shine ... Vildor is big enough to play on the outside, Shelley is more of a slot.

SM just generally steals others stories and puts a spin on it .... I guarantee they had no one actually watching camp.

Getting three starting corners in JJ, Vildor, and one of Shelly/Graham out of 4 draft picks would be phenomenal.

It would be nice if one of the 452 DBs we drafted in the late rounds the past 10 years finally panned out.

And one that was actually pretty good - Corey Graham - we got rid of his ass.

I really liked Graham, and never understood how they let him go. Sure Tillman and Jennings were locked in, and DJ Moore was pretty good. But the DB depth at that time wasn't great. I always kind of wondered if he just wasn't a Lovie guy - Lovie absolutely had his favorites. Graham had a great career and got himself two rings.

Another later round Pace pick which might turn out well?

I liked him, too.
Bears believed he was purely a ST-5th-CB-on-the-roster-guy. Someone else believed he could be a CB3/4 and continue to contribute on ST.
The other team obviously was willing to pay a little more and promise more playing time.
And the other team was right.

I think you may be right, though, IIRC, that DJ was a special pet of Lovie's (until a falling out, later).

Didn't Bryce Callahan beat him out so we let Graham walk? Or were they not there at the same time.

Different timelines. Graham has been gone for like 14 years.

I think it is a bit more than that. He stepped in and started for the Ravens for better part of a decade. And then later the Eagles. Played S too.

Other than Peanut he was the best DB on the Bears on that time... in hindsight. But we learn a lot in hindsight when guys move on, such as Greg Olsen is a great TE not just a good TE.

Nicely done.

Am I the only one who thinks that Kindle Vildor is a name that should have come from a Star Wars movie?

I think after Graham went to the Ravens he pretty much said exactly that. No matter how well he performed in practice, Lovie wanted him to play on ST and never anything beyond that.

nah...sounds more like a Lord of the Rings name. Bobo Baggins and Kindle Vildor definitely sound like they came from the same village.

Absolutely not! And certainly not a Hobbit name. Hobbit names are cheerful and bouncy, like Bilbo Baggins, Meriadoc Brandybuck, Samwise Gangee, Goldilocks Took, Jolly Cotton, Griffo Boffin, and Hamfast of Gamwich. Names that make you chuckle.

Kindle Vildor has a bit of Darkness to it.

May I introduce you to Kindle Vildor, Darth Vador's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate:

At least he's wearing a helmet.

Two can play that game:

Cassian Andor, Kel Dors, Yendor, Yaddle, Needle, Kindle Vildor, , Anakin Skywalker, Lanever Villachem, Lando Kalrissian, Hans Solo, Darth Vador, Darth Maul, Darth Vildor....

And like I said, my guy's already got a Helmet. lol

Bilbo Baggins, Samwise, Merry, Kindle Vildor? Really?j Sounds nothing alike.

I rest my case as well. I think that Darth Vador-Darth Vildor wins it going away.

So not a Kindle Paperwhite or a Kindle Oasis, but a Kindle Vildor. I think it must be a cross between a Kindle and a sex toy. Something like this:
