Perhaps something in code like Let’s Go Brandon would’ve been better?

It would not, in my opinion, no.
It's HS football. You have issues with a kid's parent, take it up with that parent. Don't take it out on the kid.

As a staunch critic of his, I found this to be too low below the belt as well.Ditka’s dictaphone wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 2:45 pm Shame on those that chanted at his son’s football game.
At the end of the day, it’s still a game. Don’t traumatise a kid because you don’t like his dad.
I’m sad for Nagy and I try hard not to indulge in dehumanising him. It doesn’t make him an appropriate head coach for the bears though.
But anyway, is he fucking gone yet?

this is some bullshit ... if it was one of the HS student sections, then every one of the classless little bastards should be suspended and upon return from suspension, detention every day until the end of the school year

If we're talking "student cheering section behavior" this is certainly not a "these days" issue. Do people not remember how vicious and racious HS fan sections were in days past?

Good God if true. I'm normally warmer on George/Teddy than most because I recognize what their role is, but this is simple stuff. You don't have to be a football guy to get that is bad.

This isn't some overbearing parent taking out their issue on a kid. It's kids being bullies. It's not right, but it's way different than what I think some are portraying it as.thunderspirit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 4:10 pm It would not, in my opinion, no.

Those rumors are starting to look like a real possibility.
We all need hope in this crazy world. Releasing Nagy and perhaps Pace would provide that for many fans.

After all this the only hope is waiting for new ownership (if it's all true).
Even if it's not all true, it's not a great look right now for the franchise. George probably needs to make his face/voice visible tomorrow and address some of this shit. Just a total shit show right now.

Just fire his ass already. This whole rumor mill palace intrigue bullshit is beneath me. This shouldn't be talked about like a Royal Family scandal.
Somebody at Halas Hall get a pair of balls and fire him now.
Make Pettine the coach.

My early thoughts on a Nagy replacement…..I’m really hesitant to go after a first time coach and I really don’t want anyone who hasn’t called plays.
Early names in order or preference…
Kyle Shanahan-He probably doesn’t get let go, but if he does, I want him
Jim Harbaugh- Provably a long shot…but I kind of really like the idea
Doug Pederson- his last year, was bad. That said, I was very impressed with what I saw his first couple years. Think a year off could have helped him
It’s early, thoughts on these 3?

Why? I’m not saying I disagree, I’m not too familiar with him.
Who are your early front runners?
Know anything about Matt Campbell from Iowa State?
Ive heard good thinks about the OC in San Fran but he looks way too much like Mark Trestman.

I could go for Shanahan. I like the previous HC experience. I'm getting skeptical of constantly hiring coordinators.cblaz11 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 9:01 pm My early thoughts on a Nagy replacement…..I’m really hesitant to go after a first time coach and I really don’t want anyone who hasn’t called plays.

Harbaugh would be a done deal for me. I'd love that.
There's something funny about Pederson. Like karma with the way 2018 ended. I could see it.
I still prefer Ryan Day.

I am rather wary of the College guys to be honest - Urban Meyer looks lost in Jacksonville.
And remember this: People think - in college - that Mel Tucker is a good Coach.
I watched alot of Eagles games over the years - College Roommate was an Eagles fan so have to be on top of things when we discuss things - Pederson doesn't really do anything well. Think a less likeable Matt Nagy
He DID get the flukey SB win - can never take that away - But basically it means he is the HC equivalent of Joe Flacco
I think Kellen Moore is the next boy genius - frankly I have thought this for a while - On the old board I was saying he would be a good Offensive Coordinator when he was still a rookie

What about Don Martindale, I think he’ll make a great head coach for the Bears.
