The league and the owners are far too powerful and arrogant and watching them bloody each other would amuse me.

Still haven't heard what law or contract provision the Rams actually broke, though.

The lawsuit was filed back in 2017 by the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County and the St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority. It claims the NFL broke its own relocation guidelines when it moved the team from St. Louis to Los Angeles at the end of the 2015 season.

Reminds me of an old Lone Ranger joke when he and Tonto are surrounded by hostile Indians. He turns to his faithful sidekick, says "it looks like the end for us". Tonto looks at him and replies "what do you mean 'us', paleface?" The knives are out on this one.

I hated when the Rams left the Lou. It was a nice drive and cheap place to see the Bears play. Hell, we would go to a game there and you thought you were in Chicago there were so many Bears fans there. Have a buddy that lives there and we had free lodging.

2006 MNF - Hester had 2 KOs for TDs. The place was rocking.

2015 - Zach Miller had 2 TDs, one being 80+yds.

I was sick as a dog that night so I had to listen to the game on the radio. I thought I was delirious when I heard them talking about the 2nd one. I was like "didn't he do this already, why are they still talking about it"

It's amazing how efficient the NFL & owners become, when it comes to retaining documentation and preventing discovery.

I remember one of the public speeches from a member of the St. Louis group to the effect of the lawsuit not being about the money, but about doing what is right

guess the NFL simply decided to write a big enough check to overcome any obstacles and make it all about the money

Well, they settled for $ and no expansion team. Good buddy of mine was hoping they would get another team so he could see the Bears when they would have played there.

$790M to be paid by the NFL. I wonder how much, if any, owners besides Kroenke will be on the hook for. They did approve the move so I'll assume each will pay something.
