Now that the season is over, Nagy is long gone and we have no idea of his successor, we can look back wistfully on the highlights during his tenure at Chicago.

- Club Dub: the joint was jumping, even though they had not won anything besides a game.
- Victory over TB last season: On a Thursday night the Bears surprised Tom GOAT Terrific as Foles led them to an improbable last minute W. Probably my favorite game over Nagy's time. The loss to the Bears would be their only one against a losing team and they went on to win the Superbowl.
- The McDonalds commercial: from the land of the bizarre, an HC of an NFL professional team shilling for a bad fast food joint. Still can't believe it actually happened.

Did I miss any other highlights? I'm avoiding the lowlights as there are a few posts on that totaling near triple digit page counts.
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

I like these exercises. Say something nice about somebody you don’t like.

Nagy brought an overall high amount of energy which was very different than what we had before.

That’s really all I got.

The first half of the first game in '18 when the Bears blew the Pack out of the stadium. Talk about being pumped as a fan. That might have been the high point of the offense all year (TB was horrible that year. Mitch played lights out gouging them but they were TB).

I can name games or plays that were high points.

But naming an aspect of Nagy's coaching that was praiseworthy?

Contact:

1. The trick red zone TD plays in '18 were sweet.
2a. The Cowboys game in '19 that was really Nagy and Mitch's one and only signature win against a genuinely good winning team (even though the 'Boys were ridiculously bad on the road vs home).
2b. The Tampa game last year.
3. Nagy 2.0 is amazing on paper.

Lining up in the T-formation on Nagy's first play. It was a downward trend from there.

He was very good at not answering questions. It got to be if you asked what day it was he would reply: Not Monday, but we are working on it.
His offenses kept DC's up at night wondering: What the hell am I missing?
He could take his best players out of the game with just the scheme which is probably harder than it sounds. (to be fair Pagano was the real genius at this)
The secret is to work less as individuals and more as a team. As a coach, I play not my eleven best, but my best eleven.

For about the first 1/2 of the '18 season until he was completely figured out.

1. The day we hired him
2. The day we fired him
3. The time he said “I’m not an idiot” in a press conference after running the ball 7 times all game.

1. The Cleveland Debacle.

2. His veteran QB dissing his offense on camera.

3. His bald-faced BS and cheesy cliches from start to finish.

1. Making the playoffs in 2018 with the team arrow pointing straight up.

2. Signing Khalil Mack.

3. Drafting JF1.

#1 I guess could be attributed to the Nagus, though I'd lean towards Fangio and the D winning games than the bumbling O.

2 and 3 are on Pace as I doubt the Nagus had much input.

That was the genius of the Nagus, keep the opposition amazed at "it can't be that simple, has to be a trick". During the game the opposing D would call out the plays before they were run. Yes, they were that predictable.

That reminds me about advice I got one time about buying a bass boat.

The two happiest days in a boat owner’s life are the day he buys the boat and the day he sells it.

I never did buy one. That advice seems about right.

Yeah, it's sad that pretty much all 3 of my Nagy highlights are due to Pace/Fangio. I guess I could have put the training camp egg toss somewhere on the list.

Egg toss? I missed that one - another creative leaf on the Nagy tree.
