I guess I look at it as we are rebuilding. Not in the middle of an era. So if we win, we many have better players (or at least better coached players) than we thought.

Basically the bell curve is shorter than not.

Yup. At minimum, players that the new coaches identify as pieces moving forward.


You go 2-10, a lot of them will probably have to go. You go 7-9, you've got more core pieces. But I suppose looking at how you won makes a difference too. If Kyle Fuller is beat like a drum but Jay Cutler keeps leading comeback wins, does that make Fuller a core piece? Of course not. So essentially we want complete team victories to lead us to a 'better' record rather than the heroics of three or four players.

So basically I want the entire defense remodeled.

2015 didn't wind-up being a horrible year. We were a missed Robbie Gould chip shot away vs SF from being 6-6 and one game back of the wild card in December. A lot of close losses in this season too. DET, MIN, DEN, WSH. Hell... may have been Jay's finest hour unless you're counting half-seasons. Where the second half of 2010 or 2011 pre-injury probably wins.
