Weak way to do it at night after losing to the Brewers (and losing again today), but it's nice. I have a bad feeling they're going to fuck around until the playoffs and then get in a deathly matchup against the fucking Dodgers or Mets, who of course will broom them.
This team is a world series caliber team, but it's been dangerous to see how often they simply disappear and let lowly teams win series against them from time to time. Every team, good and bad, struggles with hills and valleys - that's baseball - but I think simply banking on the Cubs to "turn it on" is dangerous living, man.
edit: Of course as I say this the Cubs come back from a 4-2 deficit to beat the Brewers 5-4 in 10 w/ a walk-off homer.

Now they need to win the damn thing for my father-in-law. He is 84 and been waiting patiently. Guy doesn't miss a game. For all my other Cub fan friends as well, give 'em this so they can die happy some day.
