I wanted the Dodgers. The Cubs handled Kershaw the last time they saw him, and the rest of their rotation is not that intimidating. LA cannot hit lefties. It might be possible that Maddon brings Hammel back for this series, but I doubt it. He might actually switch out one of the relievers for Zastryzny. He pitched well in the 2nd half, and could be a big weapon out of the bullpen. I think he even started a game. I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility to pitch a combination of Zass and Wood to get him 6-7 innings. Of course, at the end of the game, if they can't hit LH pitching, they are certainly not going to hit Chapman in the 9th.
I'm also guessing that Maddon sticks with three catchers.
Overall I feel good going up against the Dodgers. I didn't want to see Harper, and I didn't want to see Murphy.
My prediction: Cubs in 6.
NLCS: Cubs vs. Dodgers

That’s a tough one when the game is lost on one pitch. Cubs just couldn’t breakout against that weird Kershaw delivery.
It’s going to be a fun series to watch IF you can stay up late. I’ll be in the chat room throughout since I’m retired.

OK, this is brutal. For a team that had the largest run differential during the regular season. This is hard to watch. I mean what happened to Rizzo and Russell? Its like they forgot how to hit. Heyward was bad during the regular season, but a couple of his at bats tonight, it looked like he had never seen major league pitching. The ONLY bright spot in the WHOLE playoffs so far is the emergence of Javier Baez as a superstar. Other than that...its been straight dog shit.

And here I was, hanging my 2016 sports dreams on the Cubs. At least the Bears and Irish had the decency to not get my hopes up...

Listening to Rick Sutcliffe this morning, he reports Cubs are the 2nd worst team in MLB at hitting the curveball. I can see this young guy tonight throwing more curve balls than he ever has before. He also talked about how bad they hit lefties. Not a good combo for the Cubs.
Hey it is only 2-1. Plenty of time to right the ship for you guys.

It's only one game, but loved seeing Rizzo and Russell look like, well, Rizzo and Russell.

Its going to be a great game. Its the second time in a week they will have seen Kershaw. This time their bats are alive. I'm not saying we're going to put crooked numbers up on him, but I think we can score a few runs. I HAVE FAITH!!
Lot's of fun on the chat board last night, watching the Cubs, and making fun of the Bears. Good times!

Kyle Hendricks was absolutely fabulous!
Tip of the hat to the dodgers for being good losers.

Everyone wishes they could have been @ Wrigley!
