Both sides chose not to sign a new deal (shocking).
Maddon will no doubt go to Anaheim, San Diego, or any one of the tons of openings available. He'll always have a special place here in Chicago.

Maddon will have a special place in my heart for life. No sports moment has ever brought tears to my eyes before November 1, 2016.

I watch very little baseball and when I do I watch the Yankees, but I always thought Maddon was just an awesome larger than life personality with the things they’d do on off days like petting zoos. Oh well. I’ll just enjoy some Schwarber highlights from now on.

Maddon was always bound to end up with the Angels. Cubs needed a new voice anyway.
