Cubs / Sox 2020 Seasons

Mon Jul 27, 2020 10:40 am

Not a baseball guy (as mentioned many times), but tuned in briefly to the Cubs over the weekend. How bizarre it was to see no fans in the stands and the crowd noise piped in for TV.

Supposedly they are pumping in a little more now after the dust up to make sure benches can't hear each other.

Giolito with a no hitter and the Sox bats bashing things all over ... Sox may end up doing well in this shortened season

the virtual fans thing is pretty weird too ... and I don't see the purpose ... no one is allowed to go to the games, everyone knows the seats are empty, so why bother with this? and they have 2 varieties - the cardboard cutout fans and the virtual CGI fans with computerized images

why? why the need to pretend things are not what they are?
