the only negative thing about this series may be the weather ... a couple of cold fronts are developing in the northwest and are on the way

From someone completely on the outside of being a Cubs fan, it really felt like the Cubs won the "World Series" this year when they defeated the Cardinals.

I kind of agree Ring. Don't root for anyone, don't really watch baseball until playoffs, but that kind of rings true.

I think Cub fans need to realize, they were not supposed to be here until next year or the year after. Arrieta has caught lightning in a bottle. Prior to this year, he was avg. don't expect him to win 22 games again. Outside of he and Lester (who seems to have flopped) there is no pitching to speak of.

Team full of nice young talent.

I don't think they'll get swept. They play the next 3 at Wrigley (have I mentioned I hate 2-3-2?) and I think they'll take 2 of 3, but ultimately Mets win game 6 at home and the series ends in disappointment.

We just don't have the bullpen to keep up. Get a decent 3 and 4 so we aren't trotting out fucking Hammel and Hendricks and hope Lester decides to not underwhelm next year and we'll be fine. Bryant and schwarber won't have the jitters and make these same mistakes next year.

Silly me, I forgot Hammel was starting. That guy needs to be shipped to the arctic. His 1st inning ERA has gotta be near 6 or 7 at this rate. He's a piece of shit.

Joe Maddon needs to fall on his sword for starting him during the playoffs when he's had the second half from hell. Cubs bullpen also sucks. Cubs hitters are also all collectively cold.

I want Soler traded. Pitching is needed. I don't care if Castro comes back either. Schwarber needs to spend the fall and spring learning to play the outfield and take angles.
