Pirates bringing back 1970s 'We Are Family' uniforms this season
The Pirates will have a new look this season. Well, an old look that is new again.
On Thursday, the team unveiled a yellow jersey inspired by the late 1970s "We Are Family" clubs, including the 1979 World Series winning club.
Yellow jersey, black pants, pillbox hat? Gosh, those are spectacular.
The Pirates say those will be their new uniforms for all Sunday home games this season. Outstanding.
I liked those Pirates teams from the 70's ... a fun bunch ... and I especially liked Chuck Tanner finally getting a ring while managing them
