eh, live a little on the edge...pick early...this IS a dynasty after all and not just this year...BBF wrote:You can, I just figured the first set of preseason games could change things, especially if there are injuries.
We usually get a jump start on it on like Friday or Saturday before, I just was a week early. I'm not going to pick until at least after the Friday games (since the likely top 5 guys to be picked will have all been through one preseason game by then)

I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!
Yeah, that's why I'm just going to hold off on my pick until after the Friday games (when everyone in the top 5 except Davis who won't play this week has played), so if someone that picked ahead of me gets injured they can change their pick, since it was my bad.46Blitz wrote:I'm ok with starting early, however only unless everyone else is up for it. It wouldn't be fair otherwise in case of injury ect. If the first 5 guys pick and we have to wait a week for the next guy.... what happens if one of the top 5 guys get hurt while we are waiting...
I mean I'll let you re pick if your guy gets hurt before I pick FridayPSUmtj112 wrote:I agree with this. I am fine going now if everyone else does, heck i'm excited, but I do not want to be at a disadvantage if someone gets hurt.46Blitz wrote:In other words, all or none...

My two cents is people can always pick before their time slot if they WANT to. So we could do the whole first round before official start if everyone wanted to pick, but no one HAS to pick before their allotted time.

I'm good to go anytime...now or later, doesn't matter to me.
The three taken so far have played (or won't play in Davis' case but that was known beforehand) and the managers are good with their picks. So we'll start up again.
The Shufflin' Crew selects: Dalvin Cook, RB Minnesota
The Pigskin Playas are up.

I'm an analyst by trade. A database guy, a spreadsheet guy. A stats guy. And after doing a ton of research on my team and the draft class, I've reached one airtight conclusion:
I'm the idiot who chose Tajae Sharpe at 1.16 last year.
So. Without overthinking this one or going for a player with any sort of flash or intriguing pedigree whatsoever, the VMBKs select
Kareem Hunt, RB, KC
Let's hope he pans out as well as the last KC third-rounder I took because all of my top-tier guys were taken.

Also, what's wrong with hoping that a slow, altogether phlegmatic RB from a small midwestern school will be as good as Jamaal Ch- Oh. I see. Gotcha.

Later on, you'll get inundated with whatever the future incarnations of iCarly, Drake and Josh, VICTORiOUS, and The Suite Life are. But for now, cartoons.

Thanks for the trade offers gents. In the end, I just see too much value here and so, without a moment's hesitation, I'm happy to announce the newest Usual Suspect: Alvin Kamara.

That song is impossible to get out of your head. We have an 8 month old so all the cartoons I blocked out of my mind are close to making a return.thunderspirit wrote:Yes.karhu wrote:God damn it, you know my sons are 2 and 5, right?thunderspirit wrote:You're welcome!karhu wrote:Let's hope he pans out as well as the last KC third-rounder I took because all of my top-tier guys were taken.

Great, great move, BBF. For what it's worth, my wife thought I should've taken Jones at 1.10. If this blows up in my face, I'll hand the team over to her.

Good thing I traded up for him then. I really thought about hoping he'd make it to my pick but I guess #16 was his floor.thunderspirit wrote:Yep. Is your wife better at Fantasy Football than you karhu? If so I'll be more confident in my pick.

Heck, if I'd've had anything to say about it, #14 would've been his floor; he was my target when I tried to trade for your pick the first time you had it.BBF wrote:Good thing I traded up for him then. That said, my wife just wrote to say that I ought to pick Roberto Aguayo in the second, since you can never have too many kickers. If that shakes your confidence in her FF chops, I'll take Jones off yr hands.
