Seahawks owner Paul Allen dies at 65 from complications of non Hodgkin lymphoma. Allen was pivotal in keeping the hawks in Seattle. His contributions not only to the city of Seattle but the world at large will never be forgotten. He truly was a visionary and truly cared for humanity. RIP Mr.Allen.

I guess he owned the Portland Trailblazers, as well.

I was born and raised in the Northwest. I live the first part of my life in Portland, and went to school and got a job for a short while in Seattle. I left just after Allen bought the Seahawks. Paul Allen was a revered figure in the Seattle area. I can't say he did much for the Trailblazers, but he certainly turned the Hawks from perennial bottom feeders, into a competitive football team. He was considered a genuinely kind person.

Godspeed Mr. Allen. RIP.
