I love it.
Now part of me really hopes they trade for Mack and sign him to a deal too.
Welcome to cap hell!

I'm looking at the positives. Less money for everyone else.

Signed him for four years at $33.3M per, and will most likely not get another Super Bowl out of it. Seems like a waste of money.

Yep, he's a great QB, but I don't think you can eat that much cap with one player and make it work unless you are a draft god year after year, which the packers are not anymore.Bears Whiskey Nut wrote:Signed him for four years at $33.3M per, and will most likely not get another Super Bowl out of it. In other news, what does the QB draft class look like in 2020?

(2020 update, wait, was I right...)

Apparently the CAP hit for this year isn't as bad which might make them think they can go all in for Mack.

That's silly. Are you actually saying we should have let Rodgers walk?Bears Whiskey Nut wrote:Signed him for four years at $33.3M per, and will most likely not get another Super Bowl out of it. Seems like a waste of money.
We were im 2 of the last 3 NFCCGs with him healthy. Id say a SB title while always a monumental task, certainly is never unrealistic with a guy like Rodgers.

Compare our pay to Rodgers to what you pay Mack.

He wasn't a free agent. He signed an extension. You're a real fan. Not a troll at all.Davantesghost wrote:That's silly. It doesnt matter. The implication was that it was waste of money to sign him, but signing him was the only way to keep him.alexwilkins wrote:He wasn't a free agent. He signed an extension.
