Houston Texans confirm wide receiver Will Fuller will miss season with torn ACL
The Houston Texans have had an offensive renaissance over the past several weeks, winning five games in a row, but they may be due for a regression after some bad injury news.

Head coach Bill O’Brien confirmed that wide receiver Will Fuller, who had been having a very productive season, will be out the rest of the year with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

“We’ve been playing well, but that’s the thing about this league,” O’Brien said Friday. “If you go through every team, everybody is dealing with injuries. It’s such a cliché, but the coaching staff and players, we all have to pitch in and figure it out and figure out how we’re going to construct the offense. Maybe some things will be the same. Maybe some things will be a little bit different.

“But most important thing for right now, I’m very disappointed for Will. Because Will’s a great guy. He has been playing at a high level, so I’m just disappointed for Will.”

Fuller, who had 32 catches for 503 yards and four touchdowns through eight games, suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s 42-23 victory against the Miami Dolphins. His stats this year ranked second on the team, behind DeAndre Hopkins.
that certainly sucks for Houston ... their offense was just really getting on track
