That sucks about Alex Smith. He was fun to watch on KC. I didn't see much of him with Washington.

that was a pretty gruesome injury on Smith ... and it is made weird that it is 33 years to the day Theismann's career ended on a very similar injury

Really strange set of coincidences:

Same date: Nov. 18
Same score: 23-21
Same injured leg: Right
Same bones broken: Tibia & fibula
Both injured on 3rd sack of the game
Both tackled by a 3-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year (Taylor/Watts, the only 3-time winners of DPOY)
