Colt McCoy just went down with a fractured fibula.

WTF are they putting in the DC water? Play for the Redskins...break a leg. FFS.

Redskins season officially toast with Dirty Sanchez now their offensive hope

so, they had no problem signing a women beating linebacker they didn't need, and who cannot yet play for them, but they have a big problem signing a decent QB that they do need whose sin was peaceful protest

Hard to argue with that.

i love gruden today saying Kaep doesnt fit what they're doing and instead they're giving ryan fucking mallet a tryout. what their qb is going to be doing is running for his life behind an OL that has already gotten 2 QB's killed this season.

Kaepernick doesn’t really fit what anyone does on offense, because he’s bad at what he does. Ryan Mallett is worse. But if you’re going to get poor results anyway, may as well go with the one that won’t cause any waves.

Kap also wants more than Ryan Mallett money.

Four games to the playoffs, how much is that worth?
Not that I'm saying Kap would get them there, but I know Sanchez won't.

Eh. Kaep is a losing record qb with one good year and then the league figured him out. He doesn’t throw for a lot of yards and his completion percentage is sub 60%. He actually doesn’t turn the ball over which is a good thing and he runs well but got hurt the last couple seasons as the hits add up.

Should he be a backup somewhere, sure, if he would take backup money and duties. I don’t know that he will or won’t just saying it could be part of the equation.

His talent and performance level ceased to exceed his pain in the ass level is why he is out of the league.

and they didn't even sign Mallet ... they found someone worse :

Redskins sign Josh Johnson as new backup QB

Quote:
WASHINGTON — Just two weeks after the team turned to Mark Sanchez as their backup quarterback, the Washington Redskins signed Josh Johnson Tuesday to back up Sanchez, who is now the starter, according to multiple sources.

Johnson, 32, has not thrown a pass in an NFL game since 2011, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is 0-5 lifetime in the NFL as a starter with five career touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He’s spent time with eight other NFL clubs and was recently selected as the top pick in the new Alliance of American Football League.

I understand the mixed opinions on Kaepernick but anyone who does not think he is a better, and more mobile, option than Mark Sanchez is a fool IMO

there are so many second line QB's currently holding jobs that are questionable, and when a guy who hasn't thrown an NFL pass in 8 years gets a contract before Kaepernick, I am inclined to side with his opinion that there is a league wide collusion to keep him out of the league
