Did I miss the cutting or trading of Bellamy? Its reported he is joining the Jets.
Nice role player who has grown on me and the team really seemed big on his leadership. Have only seen it mentioned once.

Yeah I guess I knew he was on a 1 year contract but his name never really came up during this off season, other than all the positive stories that have come out about being a team leader. Just kinda surprised me. You are right, as far as giving Wims more time and not a huge loss.

Roles like Bellamy's need to be filled by rooks once you have a mature cap. As said above, time for Wims to step up.

He didn't do much for us under Nagy this year so maybe he just didn't have the skill set that our coach has in mind for the team? Team leader or not I'm eager to see what Wims can do.
He should get more playing time now, especially if Kevin White is gone too.

Well I like it even more so now that we are also signing Patterson. We arent going to pay Patterson 5million a year to be a gimmick. Wims is very interesting and I cant wait to see how he develops.

Bears' Josh Bellamy: Works out numbers with Jets
Bellamy agreed to a two-year, $5 million contract with the Jets on Tuesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The two parties were close to a deal Monday, and the terms have officially been worked out. Bellamy made just 14 catches through 16 games with the Bears last season, and he'll have tough competition to exceed those number in 2019, especially after pass-catching back Le'Veon Bell signed with the Jets.
