No need to hang onto picks when you build your roster from late rounders and through perfecting miscast pieces from other franchises.
Kind of makes me glad the Bears aren't that great right now, as the Patriots would probably just beat them in any sort of title game anyway.

just what the Patriots were hurting for - another reliable weapon for Brady (insert sarcastic eyeroll here)
this Patriots team is very scary, even before acquiring Sanu and it is because their defense no seems on par with their offense ... their total demolition of the Jets was impressive even though it was the Jets ... and even up by 33 points, Brady still chucking the ball and barking at the refs as if it was a 1 point game ... that man is motivated and on another level

Jesus. That's an insane price for a 30yo borderline #2/3 WR that has averaged a whopping 500 yards a season through 8 years.

I find it hard to question the Patriots strategy ... what we may consider a high price, they look at as an investment in furthering success ... and their results kind of speak for themselves

This kind of thing happens in baseball all the time. Just trying to get another title before the GOAT hangs it up. He's got a few more years left in him, but right now they've got the team to do it.
