I do not understand, other than money, how Snyder and Jones attract head coaching candidates. You’d think Rivera and McCarthy would have options rivaling the stars in the sky. Maybe this is how they set their families up for a couple generations. IDK. If that’s the motivation then OK fine.
No disrespect to Rivera whatsoever, but the Redskins aren’t going anywhere. It’s not the thought of winning that made him do it.
The Cowboys are gonna be the Cowboys. They’re not going anywhere either.
At least in baseball with the Yankees you could say there’s a chance every year for a World Series or at least a deep playoff run.

There's only a couple of these jobs open each year, and I think veteran coaches like McCarthy and Rivera look at the individual talent on these teams and feel like they can win where other coaches haven't. I think this would go bad for anyone that took the job. It seems as if Troy Aikman has seen the light and realizes it is an effed up place/situation.

Supposedly Jerry fell in love with McCarthy in the Super Bowl at his stadium when the Pack beat the Steelers. McCarthy's not the guy to change the way Jerry operates so McCarthy must be fine with that.
