Hard to have a bubble with 32 teams. There are 53 players per team, 16 practice squad guys, and maybe 20 team coaches/personnel support guys..that is 89 people per team X 32 = ~2,700.
I think if we eliminated AFC vs. NFC and shortened the schedule to 12 games....and had only 4 bubbles across the country....with 2 divisions per bubble to play 6 games in the division and 4 vs. the other division within the conference for 10 games. Then for the cross division games...do that at the end of the schedule as deemed necessary between two bubbles in the same conference.
Then two bubbles with 7 teams each for the playoffs.....and the Superbowl can be a single bubble.

Not sure.The 2,700 would only be team personnel....not including officials, field workers, limited media beat guys for each team, TV network people, etc... If anything, it would be like the combine in Indy X 5...and what major city has 4-5 football fields suited for the NFL? We can't play games every day on the same field. Maintaining a bubble is a joke. It's not possible with all of the variables at play. Keeping players' wives, kids, parents safe is a not a possibility. Just takes one guy to "break the bubble" and the entire team falls like dominoes. One team plays another team, they fall like dominoes.
They should probably just scrap the season because it is feeling more and more like a scab season.
We’re looking at the possibility of one team playing a 16 game regular season and another team playing a 13 game regular season. How do you figure out who goes to the playoffs.
What if one team has a better winning percentage, but falls to the virus right before the playoffs. Do you give the team with the second best record a playoff berth just because they're healthy at the right time? Maybe.
No real crowning achievement to be this year's Super Bowl champ.
Mother Nature wants her pound of flesh and I think she's going to get it one way or another. But this is just the opinion of an advanced monkey banging away at the keyboard in front of him.
