"Texans Deshaun Watson to a long-term contract extension before the start of the season.
The two sides finalized negotiations on a four year deal that will pay Watson – a maximum of $160 million over four seasons."

Mahomes got enough to buy a baseball team!
Doesn't he own shares in a football team too? not conflict of interest?

When I saw that Watson basically got a bit more than Mahomes with an early opt out....I thought of how franchises often make bad contract decisions. As far as Texans go my first thought was Brock Osweiler and they had to pay Cleveland to take him lol

FWIW, Watson is currently putting together a season that would embarrass 2019 Mitch.

I always thought Watson got way more credit than he was due. He's got some come from behind magic, but usually they are behind because of him.
Now it looks like most of that magic was actually Hopkins.
